open to Joshua
When Andrew had gotten a text message from Joshua asking to pick him up at the bus station, he didn't ask any questions, he just got into his car and drove to pick up his boyfriend. His parents had just left, having to go off and deal with some things on their own, and their visit had been cut short. 	Once they were inside of the house, Andrew wrapped his arms around Joshua from behind and pressed a kiss against the back of the boy's neck. Joshua relaxed instantly at the touch, muscles even looser than before. "Chinese food sounds good," he agreed. There wasn't much delivery at Wolf Haven. Andrew followed after him and plucked up his laptop along the way so that he could just order online. It was easier that way, he could keep conversating with Joshua and he didn't have to deal with anyone. Instead of asking Joshua what he wanted, he just got a little bit of everything, knowing the boy's appetite quite well.

After ordering and paying with his credit card, Andrew got up and went to sit down on the couch next to Joshua. He switched gears easily enough, relaxing into the soft touch. "Do you want the nice Joshua, or the mean one?" An odd clarification to make, considering Joshua had never before seemed to hide anything he was thinking about someone for the sake of their feelings. But his father was a different subject all together. He had very much hid his feelings about the man from his brothers, knowing they wouldn't be able to understand the complicated emotions that went along with Joshua's view of Jackson.

Knowing that Andrew would always want the truth, he didn't wait for an answer. "He was anything but an alpha." That's how he started, immediately painting a less than favorable image (in Joshua's opinion, anyway, who valued such things as strength of will). "He made bad decisions and then stuck by them no matter what. He wasn't strong enough to leave my mother and so my brothers suffered. Then, he went and got killed and left them with her." He made no mention of himself being hurt by anything, just Julian and Jeremiah. "But he always tried to make it up to me and to them. He taught me as much as he could about what we are. He wasn't afraid of it and he taught me not to be afraid of it." That was important to Joshua.

Andrew reached a long arm down and let his fingers brush against the side of Joshua's face as the boy spoke. He was well aware of the fact that Joshua had suffered a great deal. "She put a lot of shit in her body, but alcohol seemed to be her favorite," he started. Andrew couldn't help but frown. He hated the idea of Joshua having to endure an awful childhood, as well as the two little ones. He wasn't exactly the best around Julian and Miah, but he'd grown to care for them in his own way because they were sweet, and they were important to Joshua.
