To Shiloh (or anyone at the mansion)
Shiloh hadn't called. It wasn't as if it had been a long time, or anything, but Morris was the anxious sort. Had he been imagining the fact that the guy was into him? Maybe that woman he was with didn't want him calling strange men he'd met at the library. Maybe it was the necromancer thing. Or maybe it just hadn't been long enough and he was being obsessive. The later was the most likely, but that didn't keep him from seeking out Bernadette's mansion and going there. He wasn't afraid of vampires in the least, though it wasn't as if he could do much to them. But he was definitely no push over, so he didn't hesitate to head up on the porch.

He eyed the place. It was a large plantation style home that would have looked out of place if it hadn't been in the nicest section of town. Two stories, with a wrap around porch on each layer, pillars made it look grandiose. It bordered on cliche, and he wondered if Bernadette hadn't been human in the south somewhere. He lifted his hand and knocked on the door before noticing a doorbell and ringing that once or twice to get the attention of anyone who might be inside. It was dark, so he figured people would be up and about.

"Shiloh?" Danielle repeated, and she couldn't help but smile. "Well, that's a first. Someone coming here to call on a human," she added before she waved him inside the mansion. "Elgyn's tricky, and very ... dark, I'd stay away from him if I were you. He almost killed a werewolf once, would have if the poor thing hadn't been found by his Alpha. Have you heard of Hunter? I bet he's delicous, I'd love to taste him or his pretty mate. But Bernie says the wolves are off limits, thanks to Elgyn." She was rambling now, something she did when she was bored.

He didn't know a whole lot about werewolves. Pirate wasn't exactly forthcoming about his wolfishness even though he suspected that Morris was something strange given his very distinct smell. But Morris had to assume that the creatures were exceedingly strong and for someone to have nearly killed one was a big deal. "Alpha," he said with a slight laugh. "Like an actual wolf pack. Weird." He'd done so much to remove himself from the supernatural world that he tried not to know much about anything. Vampires were hard for him to ignore, though, given their nature.

Walking into the mansion was like relinquishing his power. It felt like a graveyard, that same cold energy swirling around him. The only difference was the lack of control he had over all of that energy. "What if the wolves wanted to be bitten. Would they still be off limits? And why is Bernadette in charge? What makes her the leader?" It was like herding cats, he suspected.

"Perhaps they wouldn't be off limits if they willingly wanted it, but Elgyn broke both of this wolf's knees, and every single bone in both of his hands," Danielle explained, and she widened her eyes as she leaned forward. "Do you know how many bones are in the human hand?" Of course she didn't realize that Morris was a paramedic and probably did know the answer. "And Bernie is in charge because she is terribly powerful, silly. So powerful that she doesn't even need to use it."

"Twenty seven," he answered. The notion that Elgyn had done such a thing was disturbing and he didn't like the idea of Shiloh living in the same house as such an individual. But he didn't exactly have a place to tell him he shouldn't and it wasn't like he would ask him to move in with him. That would be weird...right? Morris frowned at these thoughts wishing they'd go away and leave his brain in peace.

"If you've never seen her use these spectacular powers, then maybe she doesn't actually have any." He was distrustful of Bernadette, moreso than he was of any of the others, even Elgyn. At least this Elgyn person sounded like he didn't hide the sort of animal he was.

"Bernie doesn't need special powers, the kind of power she has is different," Danielle said simply. "And if you are here for little Shiloh, then I'd watch your words about Bernie. He adores her, and he is her favorite. Now, you wait here and I'll go fetch him for you."

With that, she turned to head out of the foyer and up the stairs. Moments later, Shiloh came down them, though he looked a bit confused. When he saw Morris, he smiled softly, obviously surprised. He smoothed a hand down along the front of his thin white t-shirt. He had a pair of skinny jeans on that fit him just right.

"Hi," he said softly.

Morris was immediately reminded of why he'd been so driven to come find Shiloh. The boy's voice seemed to ghost over his skin with the weight of warm breath and his eyes dropped briefly to the way his jeans sat just below his hips. "Um--hi," he returned and tried to stand up straighter so that he didn't seem so besotted. He sort of just stared for a second before looking around. "I found a witch. She's teaching me how to deal with the whole necromancy thing. I guess I just wanted to thank you for encouraging me to do it."

	"Oh," Shiloh replied, and his smile grew warmer. "Well, you're welcome. I was actually going to call you tonight, I was just talking to Lewis about it upstairs." Asking for advice, really. He felt kind of stupid for jumping the gun and coming over so soon after they'd met. "I'm not--I'm not going to be some sort of stalker or anything. Just so you know." Then again, maybe he was; he was standing in the guy's house after all.

"Do something together? Are you allowed out of the house without asking Bernadette?" Despite Danielle's warning, Morris was not going to play nice when it came to that woman.

	"No," Shiloh said as he went to go grab his jacket. It was a form fitting black jacket, and he buttoned it up before he slipped a scarf that was Lewis's around his neck. 	"We wouldn't want to upset her," he offered wryly. But the idea of a walk was appealing and he tugged his own denim jacket closed as he turned toward to lead them out of the house. "She's bossy and kind of weird." It wasn't the most positive thing he could say, but that had been his first impression of the woman. "But I guess I feel better. I haven't noticed any differences just yet, but it hasn't been all that long. She says I can't expect miracles over night."

He headed down the stairs and out to the street. The neighborhood was really nice and even though there was a house full of vampires at his back, Morris felt really safe there. "Were you really going to call me tonight? What would you have said?"

	"I don't know, I was asking Lewis for advice," Shiloh admitted as he glanced over at Morris shyly. "He's much more better at talking to attractive people than I am. I'm shy, and he's exactly the opposite." He admired that Lewis could just put himself out there for the world to see, unafraid of what people would think of him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Not sure I would have liked anything he'd told you to say." Morris didn't tend to have the same sort of appreciation that Shiloh had for those kinds of people. "Granted, I tend to be pretty difficult to please." The fact that he could raise the dead and often did so on accident wasn't the main reason he didn't have any friends. As they walked past a few stone pillars in front of a very nice house, Shiloh hopped up onto one of them and swung his legs a little bit as he looked over at Morris. The man was just as goodlooking as Shiloh remembered. Ruggedly handsome.

"Maybe you just know what you want, and you'd rather not waste your time with things that don't make the list," he offered after a moment.

He liked that Shiloh always seemed to have a good spin on his more negative qualities. "You're really too nice to me." He watched the boy swing his slender legs, following them up to his hips, and then his chest, and finally his face. "I was kind of worried you wouldn't call me at all. I wasn't really sure what I was going to say when I saw you, or what excuse I was going to give for coming to see you, but I knew I wanted to find you."

A part of Shiloh had wondered if maybe Morris was making up an excuse to see him when he thanked him, but he wasn't so confident to really be sure. But hearing it from Morris made him smile, and he found the way the man was looking at him very nice.

"I would have called," he insisted, "Because I definitely wanted to see you again. I wasn't sure who would come to see me when Danielle came up to get me, but I was hoping that maybe it was you."

	"She told me about Elgyn. Said his type was pretty and young. That's you to a t." It wasn't exactly an accusation, but he was wondering if the man had fed from the kid. He didn't like the idea of it in the least. "He sounds dangerous, like a bully." More like a monster. Morris took a few idle steps forward so that he was standing closer to where Shiloh was. Shiloh had lost his bet with Bernie over Elgyn, but only because she warned him not to fight Elgyn if he chose Shiloh. His only sexual experience had been with the vampire, and it had been hazy and odd. Elgyn had fed from him and he felt a little drugged during the event. Elgyn mostly preferred Lewis, and Shiloh had a feeling they had a special something.

"He is dangerous," Shiloh admitted. "But he hasn't ever hurt me."

"I wonder if our definitions of 'hurt' are different." He wrapped his arms around his waist, curious about what went on in that mansion. He didn't suppose he had any right to judge, but that wasn't going to prevent him from doing so. He could be pretty self righteous when it came right down to it.

"And just because he hasn't, doesn't mean he won't." But he shook his head and offered a shrug. He felt like maybe he was treading right into bad territory at the moment.

	"I really don't think Bernie would let him hurt me," Shiloh said softly. Granted, Elgyn was a favorite of Bernie's in how own way, so he couldn't be entirely sure. 	Hearing Morris admit that he felt jealous made Shiloh's face grow warm, and he smiled softly. Lewis assured him that he was pretty all of the time, but knowing Morris had some sort of attraction to him felt entirely different. Shiloh's reactions were just too delicious for words. Morris looked away from him, trying to balance himself again. "Yeah, but you haven't seen me yet." Not as much as Morris would have liked. But he wasn't the type to move fast, even though he wanted very much to be that type now. "Does he feed from you? Do anything else?" He held up his hand right after he asked those questions. "Sorry, that's really not my business. I'm assuming way too much just because I'm thinking about it. I mean--not like I'm thinking about you like that--well, I am, but not with him." He was getting flustered again.

"Only once," Shiloh answered, because he saw no reason to lie. Morris wanted to know, and Shiloh wanted to see more of the man so he figured it best to get it all out in the open. "He's much more fixated on Lewis. I think they have a sort of relationship. I think he just wanted me once because I'd never done it before. I don't really remember much of it because he'd fed from me and I was a little out of it."
