Logan was steering clear of Joshua, as much as he could, anyway. No matter how much he'd grown to care for Moon, when it came to Joshua there was always a lingering connection that he just couldn't shake and it made him feel guilty. So in the end, it was just best to avoid him as much as possible. He kind of got the idea that Josh felt the same way, too. Out of all the wolves in the pack, Josh's was the one he could feel a connection to on a level that he knew was just different. He hated it. But now, a bigger connection was building with Moon.

The boy was doing well enough with his shifts and he was learning to control his wolf that he didn't have to be locked up anymore. He still had to stick close to the main house, though. There was just no way around that. Logan would go to Seattle on Thursdays and he'd be back every Sunday morning. It was getting harder and harder to leave Moon behind, that was for sure, but he had his job at the tattoo shop.

It was Sunday morning and he'd just pulled up. He could feel that Joshua was on a run and he frowned as he glanced towards the woods. Andrew was around somewhere, too. With a sigh, he turned and headed up the porch steps to slip inside and he went straight for the kitchen where Moon usually was by this time, helping Wendell.

If wolves could shrug, Joshua offered one. At the time, he figured that Logan had deserved the wound. He bent down to sniff at it and lick it a few times, though he would insist that that was not an apology. His whole body wanted to shift and kiss Logan, though as soon as he was human he'd come to his senses--most likely.

Instead, he nudged at Logan's neck and then bit into the fur, a nip, nothing close to the bite he'd given to the wolf's paw. His tail was thumping pleasantly against the ground and Moon had never seen Joshua look so happy. It made him roll over onto his stomach so that he could look at him right side up. The white wolf was not sure how he felt about this and let out a warning growl.

The nip was a show of affection, and Logan understood that. When Josh growled at Moon, Logan turned his head to lick at one of Joshua's ears affectionately. Moon only wanted to watch them, and it was Logan's way of assuring Josh that he had his attention. Not only did he have his attention, he had Moon's attention as well. He could sense that Moon was just as drawn to Joshua as he was at this point, even if it may have been only because Logan was and Moon was connected to him.

The little red wolf's tail wagged as submissively as it could. He meant no harm and drug his belly on the ground, just trying to get closer to them. Every part of his being wanted to be included, though he was content to just watch and learn and so he only moved a step closer before going still again.

Joshua watched him the entire way and only took his eyes off of him when he'd stopped again. So perhaps he liked this little arrangement they had going right now. Maybe if Moon watched whatever was going to happen, Joshua could reiterate the fact that Logan was his territory. Moving his nose from Logan's neck down to his flank, he snuffled there, biting at his thigh.

Logan let out a contented noise, obviously happy with the affection he was getting from Joshua and happy with the persistence of Moon's attention. His tail wagged,thumping against the ground happily as he stared lazily over at Moon, wanting to make eye contact. He wanted Moon to know that he was just as focused on him as he was Joshua, and he didn't want Moon to feel as if he'd forgotten about him because he most certainly hadn't.

Joshua flopped on top of Logan, nudging in and in until their bodies were flush. Every bit of what could be touching Logan was. His entire body was thrumming with the energy of their submission and the wolf couldn't help but want to reward Logan for making him feel so good. His licking got slow and more deliberate, coming from the desire to create sensation rather than just express excitement and affection.

His body wanted to be human because it wanted to fuck Logan. It was a stark realization and Joshua's animal brain let out a whine of want. But he was trapped between instinct and logic and he didn't know where to go.

Logan knew exactly what that little whine meant, and both the human part of him and the wolf part liked it very much. He'd been aware of what kind of a effect submitting to Joshua would do to him, which was why he'd been trying to stay away. Now it was too late for all of that, though. He got the feeling that there really was no turning back.

Logan rolled onto his side so that he could be closer to Josh and he licked and nipped at the other wolf's ears affectionately.

He couldn't handle it anymore. The wolf needed it and if he really stopped to think about it, his human side was aware enough to know what was happening--mostly. But his current state wouldn't allow him to be ashamed of it.

His jaws clamped around the scruff of Logan's neck, feeling the fur between his teeth. Instinctively, he knew exactly how to hold him steady. Moon felt his insides twist, body responding to the way the scent in the air had changed. Joshua knew he was there, of course, he was a part of this. Sliding one hind leg over Logan's hips, he pressed himself against him, the lubricated slick hardness nudging as he tried to find his way.

Logan went still and let out a whine. He moved his legs a little, one front paw stretching out in Moon's direction as he snuffed against the ground. A part of him wanted to struggle but another part of him knew better not to. He squirmed some, though and let his tongue lick at his own nose as he tried to figure out the best way to move his body to make things easier on himself and Joshua.

Moon crawled closer and Joshua allowed it. The red wolf touched his nose to Logan's as if to ask what Joshua was doing to him. The clumsy white wolf was trying his best and when he finally made the connection, sliding inside of him, he nearly froze because it felt so good. His hips started to work and his heart pumped hard because this was the epitome of dominance to him and he was feeding his alpha.

If Logan could explain it to Moon, he would, but he couldn't. He couldn't even think properly to try even if he was in his human form, let alone this one. He whimpered and let out a few noises that let it be known that what Joshua was doing didn't exactly feel good but it wasn't terrible, either. This was one thing that Logan hadn't ever done while in wolf form, though quite often he'd felt the urge to.

Joshua's body needed to make more sense of this. He wasn't coordinated enough in this form and he wanted to really feel Logan. The shift back to human started of its own accord but once Joshua realized it, he pushed his own energy forward to urge Logan to shift back too. He pulled away from him, body twisting back into legs and arms.

Moon couldn't shift back yet and he backed away from them, not much more than a frightened animal.

	Logan's wolf hadn't expected to shift back so fast, and it fought the shift for the briefest of moments before Logan forced it to accept it and soon enough he was shifting back as well. The sight of him was overwhelming and he let his fingertips brush the heels of Logan's feet. Logan was reaching for Joshua as the other wolf pulled him in for a kiss. He kissed back immediately, a low groan escaping the depths of his throat as one of his hands managed to tangle itself up in Joshua's hair. They'd never kissed before. Logan had definitely wanted to and had thought about doing so often, but the one time he got close enough Joshua had put an end to it.

His brain was working overtime to catch up, but his body was working faster. He needed to be back inside of Logan and the kiss grew rougher, full of teeth and dominance. He pushed Logan back down and settled between his legs.

Everything was still a bit messy from the shift and that eased his way back into him, thrusting his hips with no caution whatsoever. Even though Joshua was a bit younger, he was full of dominance and alpha like qualities that Logan couldn't help but be submissive to. For someone like Logan, who had a dominant streak of his own, that said quite a lot about Joshua's power.

When the other wolf settled on top of him, Logan bent his knees and spread them apart to make more room for him. He groaned as he felt the other thust into him and his face knit up in discomfort at first, but soon enough his expression melted into one of pleasure as he clawed at Joshua and his nails raked down the pale expanse of Josh's back.

Joshua took Logan's wrists and put his hands up over his head, pinning him firmly as he stared down at him. It was a searching look, confused as he tried to put all of this together. Logan looked so good like that beneath him.

He stayed there for the longest time before he got to his feet and started to walk away. Moon got up to follow him, nipping at his heels playfully. Joshua wheeled around and yelled at him to go away.

Logan flexed his hands and struggled, but just a little bit to test Josh's strength. He went still seconds later, and he just stared right back up at the other wolf in silence as he tried to catch his breath. When Joshua got up and started to walk away, Logan pushed himself up onto his elbows before he got to his feet.

"Josh, wait," he called after him. "Hey - don't do that, it's not his fault," he added with a frown as Josh yelled at Moon. "Moon, c'mere," he called, his voice softening.

Joshua did not turn around again, just kept walking, disappearing into the growth of trees and brush. He could not face what he'd just done and so refused to face Logan as well.

Moon was well chastised, sinking to the ground silently, ears flat and contrite against his head. When Logan called him, he turned his head for a moment and then got up to trot over to him. He licked his hands, leaning against him.

	Moon had never felt so frustrated in his whole life. He'd been excited to see them together, doing whatever they'd been doing. It made his entire body feel alive. Now they were fighting and more apart than they'd ever been before, or so it seemed. He wasn't about to just leave him all on his own in the woods smack dab in the middle of a shift. He could feel the sadness seeping out of Logan and he tried his best to be warm and comforting. He hoped that this all hadn't been his fault.

An hour later, Moon was finally able to shift back. It had been his shortest shift yet and that showed that he was at least gaining some control. But it had been hard on his body and he groaned. The memories had slipped away like they always did, but some fragments of them remained and he looked up to find Logan. "What happened?"
