Cthulu saves! For dinner.
It happened one day. Bombs went off across the city and suddenly people got rounded up like cattle. One look at a Cthulu spawn and they were either screaming in utter insanity or on their knees in reverence. A couple of times men and women suddenly jumped each other coupling roughly on the roof of a car.

But they stopped and started to pick up all kinds of weapons. Most of them were improvised weapons.

The numerous Cthulu spawn who had been called up from the deep joined them. This city would be theirs by nightfall. They needed to finish it tonight.

Cthulu called to them.

	They were on a tight schedule. Batman couldn't afford to take the nice and easy route, having flown to San Francisco as fast as he could. But no, Batman isn't too happy about being covered in puke, as he hopped out of the Batplane, extending a hand to let his passengers down. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Jane's nose had wrinkled up. The smell of puke was thoroughly unpleasant and she herself had been queasy. She hadn't meant to let her nose get ahead of her after Cait had gotten sick. She doesn't take Batman's hand but she offers him a tiny smile before she hops out of the plane.

"Okay. I don't know my way around so I guess you should lead the way, Cait," Jane offers up that with a faint nod while taking in a cleansing breath of air.

"Wait for me!"

Dinadan jogs around the corner, armed with his sword and a can of spray paint. There's a length of rope looped over his shoulder like a beauty pageant sash and he looks like he's trying his hardest to not be twitchy. He's also got his copy of Carter's diary.

"Hi, I got here just as everything went to...this," he gestures around nervously. "Where to now?"

For a moment Jane gets a little pale. Docks always set her on edge. But she relaxes right away.

The newcomer showing up has her draw the stun gun she has for a moment but she gives him a long look and the stun gun is put away. She can tell he's with them.

"So I guess this is everyone, right? I mean we all have to gather."

The can of spray paint gets looked at again. "Kid. What's up with the paint can?"

Dinadan holds the spray can up and waggles it. "My copy of the diary had a seal in it that's supposedly good against some of the creatures that the cultists might throw at us. I figure I can draw it on just about anything with paint -- I swear, I'll wash it off if we get through this -- or I can just spray people in the face and make them back off. Much less lethal than a sword." He smiles nervously at Cait. "I don't think it's impulsive. I planned this for awhile."

She's close, he can sense it. Ty can't dial his powers back enough that the others wouldn't be able to hear him, but he's only intending to speak to Cait.

//Hold back... Cthulu /can't/ be stopped yet, he's not alive. We have to let him wake up. Help the city, but most importantly, stay alive... he's coming... he's coming soon. But if you go now, you doom everything. Wait til you see him, then make your attack on the temple.//

Its fairly obvious now where its coming from, his telepathy a palpable thing, as Ty floats over the bay some way off.

//And Cait... stay /calm/, relaxed. Don't let anyone get too angry, too scared... they can sense it. They'll be trying to kill you before you save the world.//

	Cait went quiet and bowed her head. Tears formed in her eyes. She wanted to tell him so much that she couldn't do this. She wasn't strong enough and she wasn't a hero. He had so much faith in her when she had very little. //I understand.// (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Hey." Jane wasn't a leader or anything. But she wants to look out for this 'team'. She looks away for a moment then lets her gaze settle on Cait. "We'll get through this. Don't worry. 	Cait shook it off. There was no choice. She had to do this. She furiously wiped her eyes. "We will," she said trying to be more confident than she felt. 	Dinadan's first impulse is to put the spray can away and unsheathe his sword. But since they're supposed to be repressing those impulses, he just nods and shifts his weight. (Reply to this)(Parent)
