Cthulu Rises
Out of the temple doors in the bay comes an ancient evil creature. It is Cthulu himself. He roars loudly then snatches up several cultists and eats them. The frightened screams of the others fill the air. His gaze turns to the shore and then he begins to walk.

His march towards the shore begins and he doesn't notice anything else just yet.

Cait saw the look from Dinadan and wanted to protest that she wasn't in charge, but somewhere along the way she did take charge. She wasn't a leader. She was a more go with the flow kind of girl. Leading was best left to those who knew how to do it.

"We need to get into the temple," she told them. "Stay together and watch each other's backs and we may have a shot."

	Cultists and priests came out of the temple. Each was armed with a long very sharp and poison coated knife. Spawn crawled up out of the water. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Cait lashed out at the closest spawn with a tentacle with hardened edge. It cut through slimy skin and acidic green blood came spraying out. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Cultist rushed forward and slashed with their knives. Some were tripped up by the bolos. The spawn yelled when the water cut through it and more crawled into take its place. Other spawn got hit with batarangs and yelled in pain. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Meanwhile, in the waters surrounding the temple, AJ was holding off the spawn that had slipped past Jon and slipped int the bay. The water was beginning to become dark and murky with their blood. It was becoming harder to breath, and AJ was starting to lose his mind, but he kept up.

AJ swims towards the temple and climbs onto land just in time to see the others. He realizes they must be the ones who are going to stop these creatures once and for all, and so he continues to fight back, to make their mission a little easier.

	Ooooookay, the seal doesn't seem to have any effect on them when sprayed on the wall. Would have been nice to know before he wasted his time, but there was nothing for it now. Dinadan moves across the floor to intercept a few of the spawn. He's without the pipe this time, so he uses the spray paint to try and blind them while he parries their blades. 	The priests screamed as they were dragged into the bay. The spawn were momentarily blinded by the spray paint and the pause gave Din's blade the chance to cut into spawn flesh. Spawn swarmed around the small group. Some attacked cultists and others went for the heroes. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Jae draws her gun finally. She took shots at the spawn not wanting to shoot humans in front of the heroes. They wouldn't understand and she needed to work with them as fully as possible. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Dinadan primarily focuses on the spawn as well, especially since the seal carved onto the blade made it so much more effective against them. But the gunfire makes him nervous and he tries to avoid being where Jane might be shooting. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The spawn were momentarily blinded by the smoke and the bullets slammed into them. They yelled in pain. Din's blade cut into them and acidic blood poured out. The remaining cultists charged toward the heroes. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Anger was bubbling inside of her and Cait was tired of this. It was time to end it.

She screamed and reached out with her powers, pushing them to the limits.

The ocean responded. Water surged up onto the island and tentacles wrapped around spawn and cultists alike. One by one they were dragged into the depths of the ocean.

Cait was almost at the point of collapsing, but there was one more thing that needed to be done. Water rose out of the ocean and all around the island, forming a fifty foot high wall of ice around the island.

She collapsed in a heap where she stood.

Dinadan sheathes his sword and runs over to Cait's side. She's still breathing, which makes him heave a huge sigh of relief. He pulls her as upright as he can manage, and then over his shoulders into a fireman's carry.

Oof. He needs to start hanging around more people closer to his height.

"She's bought us time, let's go!"
