Frisco Blues (Titans)
It started as any other morning in San Francisco. The sun came up in the East and people climbed from the beds to start their day.

The Titans in Titans Tower were starting their day. Their new sister team from the East were visiting for a meeting to discuss the current situation. While they were inside making plans, the waters of the Pacific started to churn. Waves kicked up and dark clouds blocked out the light of the sun.

The water quickly pulled back from the shore and things were calm for the briefest of moments. Then a huge tsunami crashed ashore and water flooded the lower half of the city.

	Ok, so the indigo compassion rays aren't working. What now. Think, Pippi, think. Ow. No, that hurts. Don't think, just do. Pippi leaps from the building, turning into super-compassion-pinball-girl, bouncing off one lantern and flinging herself into the next, ringed by an indigo shield. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Wow... there's a lot of you." brilliant deduction.

She roots into her backpack... no, Mr. Whiskers probably won't help here.
More rooting. Hmmm, maybe... no, sadly, they don't want Hostess Fruit Pie either.

Ahh, there it is.

Pippi puts her scavenged Battle-Puppy helmet, taken from the Titans East first fight, on her head, even though she /always/ gets stuck in it - duly armed and puppied, she starts firing eyebeams at them, while continuing to pinball, dodging and weaving and trying not to get grabbed.

	The laser beams and bounces are doing a good job of keeping the Black Lanterns from catching Pippi for now but they are flying fast now working hard to catch her than before. The Laser beams do some damage to the Black Lanterns knocking them back in the air but they heal from it pretty quickly. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Zombies... zombies... zombies.... what do you do with zombies? This is bad, very bad. Even her magical laser puppy head isn't doing anything. Think... ow.... think... ow... think.

One can almost see the lightbulb over her head, made of indigo light.

Pippi super bounces, battering-ramming her way through them and ping-ponging until she's clear. They're right behind her as she races into a hardware store.

As the hordes close in, the doors suddenly fly off their hinges in a blast of indigo light. There's a deep rumbling from the shadows inside the store -

And then Pippi emerges, wearing a hockey mask... over the dingo face of her helmet....

But she also has a chainsaw.

Alright bitches, come get some.

	The chainsaw the zombie’s natural enemy. For a second the Black Lanterns are not sure what to do. One then lands on the ground and charges straight at her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

She's seen this done a lot of times - the other Raiderettes used to insist she watch horror movies with them. She didn't like them, but now she understood - eventually, one just has to learn to fight zombies, just in case of an emergency.

Glowing indigo, Pippi does a triple one-handed-handspring into a backflip while wielding a running chainsaw, swinging it around with a flourish and separating the lantern's head from his neck, puppy-head firing lasers wildly without any sense of aim or tactics - only her indigo powers making sure the lasers never hit anything but bad guys.

As she lands from her badass Buffy move, she holds up the chainsaw in one hand, and draws a shotgun off her back with the other.

"This is my... oh damnit, what was that movie? This is a gun... its a really big gun. Don't mess with me or I'll shoot you... then cut your head off!"

Ok, so the dramatic delivery could be better.

	For once in possible the first time in Black Lantern history there was a look of complete and utter true shock on their faces from what they had just seen. Though they would have completely agreed that her delivery definitely could have used some work. So they attacked en masse. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

That moment was what she needed to get her bearings. Pippi goes 110% Buffy, blasting with her shotgun into one's face, swinging the chainsaw around... inexplicably making lightsaber noises with her mouth as she does so.

Everything is ridiculously over-acrobatic, flips and spins and twists, some of which are dodges as her poor, overtaxed hairpiece tries to keep her out of harm's way, some of them are just because, well... cheerleader with a chainsaw.

Still, there's a lot of them. A whole lot of them. They grasp and claw, shields stopping some, others tearing at her cheerleader skirt, fingernail rents being left in her skin as they try and drag her down.

And then a new indigo light flashes, and rats bubble up from the sewers, gnawing at dead skin about ankles, crawling into pants legs to bite and claw, a carpet of vermin trying to bear a couple under.

There's a screech, and carrion-eaters from the sky descend, crows and ravens and pigeons going after their favorite natural delicacy - eyes. Usually, they just wait til the dead flesh quits moving. Today, they're not so fussy.

	A lot of the black lanterns went down under the assault. Down but definitely not out. They were already starting to heal and piece themselves back together though the process was impeded by the animals eating at them which normally didn’t happen. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

She manages to pull herself from the grip of one of the black lanterns, cutting its hand off in the process, about to dive back in, when...

what's that? Her Pippi senses are tingling.

Someone's in danger!

Pippi gives the Black Lanterns a stern look even as they battle the swarms. "Now stay dead... or... or... I'll be back!" she announces, before bounding off to help Eli.
