Paint It Black (JSA)
It was a quiet night in New York City. People went about their business, rushing on the streets to get home, hailing taxis to get out of the brisk winter air. At the JSA Brownstone, all was well and good.

Then something happened. The sound of shattered glass could be heard shattering, and alarm klaxons blared. The team would soon find that Black Lanterns had arrived, and were closing in on the team of heroes.

Warhawk has to fold his wings close to him, but he makes it up the stairs, mace in hand. One look at the situation brings more questions than answers to the this whole thing.

He sees someone that /looks/ like Carter and someone else that /looks/ like Nic's and his mother, but something about they way they're talking just doesn't fit.

And then Rex sees Mickey and Zandor. He /knows/ Mickey is dead. He saw her body. He knows that Mr. Quick died awhile ago, too. But Zandor, Power Girl and some of the others just don't fit.

How could Zan have died and no one knew?

As much as Rex wants to talk this out, these people didn't knock on the door and ask for sugar; they all look like they came to fight.

"JUSTICE SOCIETY! I'm not sure what's happening here, but these people are invading our house!

Let's show them what we do to unwelcome guests!" Warhawk snarls, then points at Khufu and Chayara.

"You two are in deep shit for mocking my parents." growls, and lunges for Chay-ara.

He's inches from her. It doesn't look right - she doesn't look right. He saw her die... but then he's seen a lot of people die. Wally, Bart, his dad, Johnny, Jessie... dozens of times each, and then new lifetimes started. This time, his perceptions really throw him off.

Steven is almost frozen in place, his emotions shifting through the emotional spectrum at lightning speed, going from one color to another in the eyes of the black lanterns.

"But... but... I saw.."
