When it rains, it pours. (Morgaine & Jane)
Merlyn falls from two stories up, slamming through the glass skylight and landing in the pool of the youth center below and has the presence of mind to thank whatever deity rules over this part of the world that it wasn't concrete he slammed into. Granted, with the number of crazy people chasing him right now, he didn't have a lot to be thankful for, but being alive was one blessing he would count over and over again.

He climbs out of the water as quickly as he can, ignoring the sting of his cuts and bruises. One week ago, he'd left Coast City, going on the run after confessing to anyone who would listen that he, and not Green Arrow, murdered the psychopath known as the Artist. Robert didn't care if they wanted him to pay for killing a murderer; laws and courts didn't really appeal or apply to him. The only justice he needed came at the end of an arrow.

Unfortunately, he'd run into another psychopath, two days later, that believed in the same things he did. Only, this psychopath wanted /him/ dead at the end of her sword.

It was rather ironic that his adopted brother's sister was the woman trying to kill him, because Robert killed her father. But even more irksome is that, after nine months of alternately fighting and escaping this particular woman....Robert Queen /still/ does not know her name He suggested to her that she was playing hard to get.

She tried to throw her dagger through his heart.

Funny. That line worked on Jane, once...

	Robert lets Morgaine get as close as he dares before rolling beneath her sword strike and running for the door at the opposite end of the room. As soon as he can get some distance between them, he can disappear again and plot his next move. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Then out of no where two gun shots go off. Not intending on hitting Robert or Morgaine. Jane even as a Black Lantern knows just how to grab their attention.

"You'd think that you'd wait until a proper mourning period passed before you started playing with other women." There is a period of silence.

"I guess I wasn't that important. Of course she is just a harlot, not even worthy of her title. Don't blame you though, she at least has a nice ass." Jane goes quite again.

"Personally I'd slit her throat. She'd make a better dead body than a fuck toy. She's too bony. Nothing fun to grab onto besides that ass."

	Robert throws himself to the floor when the gunfire starts, cursing himself for not predicting this. But when he hears Jane's voice and sees her face, Robert pauses in shock. "Jane! Get down!" he yells, not wanting the psycho behind him to catch sight of her. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Oh no my dear," Ra's al Ghul replies as he steps out of the shadows putting an arm around Jane's waist. He smiles at the other Black Lantern.

"This lovely woman and myself only came to help you along." He reaches and strokes Jane's cheek.

"She is a true angel of mercy Granddaughter. Let us help you both. Life is filled with such pain and hardships, let us help you find true peace." And he may be very visibly be stroking Jane's hip.

"Not now Ra's," Jane chastises him pulling away stepping further into the dim light. The hole in her chest where her heart once was is visible.

"Don't upset them. They won't accept their fates if we make them angry.... Of course anger would be fitting. I should be angry! So should you. Her stances are way off. I thought she was an assassin, not a little girl playing dress up. And here you were bragging to me like a sweet proud grandpa should."

	Morgaine, however recognized the man that was with Jane. He was the one person in the entire world that she ever feared. She still had nightmares about the torments he put her through as a child. "You're...you're dead...stay...stay away from me." (FEAR) She stepped backwards, her grip on her sword shaking somewhat. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Merlyn is not certain whether this is a good or bad development. On one hand, Psycho Woman isn't trying to kill him. On the other hand, this Ra's guy has his dirty hands all over Jane and he's hurt her some how. The hole in Jane's chest hasn't escaped his notice.

"Jane, come to me, honey. Let's the crazy woman and this other guy talk it out on their own." Robert requests, trying to be soothing.

	"What a foolish boy and a foolish girl. They have no idea that we wish to bring them gifts." He sneers at Morgaine. "And the angel of mercy is right my dear granddaughter. Jane stepped forward again. Not wanting to get too close to Robert just yet. But signs of death seem to cling to her. She has killed others. Their blood is on her hand caked on thick.

"Aw But hon. It's a family moment. It's important. Ra's just wishes to bring his family together. Next stop is that brother of hers. One big happy family, I suppose. A pack of filthy murderers."

An arrow whizzes past Robert's face as he questions Jane, barely avoiding taking his nose with it.

Merlyn looks in the direction the arrow came from and his face hardens.

"Worry less about the women and more about yourself, poser. You stole my name and got a lucky shot in after Slade and your mother set me up.

But that's okay. Sending Green Arrow your head in box will get the message across just fine." the first Merlyn says, nocking another arrow.

	And after nine months, Robert finally has an answer to one of his questions. He has no clue what the hell is going on here, but he's not going to wait around to find out. He fires at Merlyn, then at Ra's. He hopes that whatever he's doing to Jane will stop if he's dead. "Morgan! If you want to live, I suggest we work together starting /now/!" he yells. "Seriously, don't call me that. I just barely put up with the 'angel' bullshit. You know. Respecting your elders and all," she sneers.

"And you can't even see what's going on around you sweetheart. Let me spell it out for you. These two are dead. Now they're walking. I'm working with them, and I have a mortal wound through my chest." The expression on her face is angry and harsh.

"Doesn't that tell you part of the story, darling? Tell me what you think happened."

	"It's no use Ms Smith. They are rather dull witted," Ra's said with a disgusted twist of his lips. "Let us make them like us. In death they will understand. And perhaps my Granddaughter will prove herself worthy finally. Your daughter is weak, Merlyn. Do work on changing it." He moves forward suddenly with blinding speed to attack Morgaine.
