The Big Finale
The city of Star City looked deserted. The citizens had either fled or had been turned into black lanterns. At the heart of the city was the entity known as Nekron. Nekron used the city as his base as his black lanterns ravaged the Earth.

The black lanterns increased their numbers each day and the power levels of the black lantern battery increased with each person that died.

Soon Nekron would have enough power to obliterate all life on this planet.

Her second question catches him off guard. If he was there and in trouble, wouldn't the Green Lanterns have sent someone by now? Why hadn't they?

Unless he was somewhere they couldn't get to him.

"He would never abandon me. He'd have sent someone to tell me if something was up. Mr. Jordan, Mr. Gardner and Mr. Rayner all told me there were no updates each time I asked.

I think he's in trouble. It's the only reason he wouldn't have come back." Rex says.

"Goddess, I don't even know where to start looking and I can't drag you all over the universe chasing down leads. Besides, it could be dangerous and we /just/ survived Night of the Living Dead.

And I really wanted to drink a truck full of beer, have a few burgers and...worship a Goddess." he smiles.

"You don't have a choice in the matter," she said. "If you're going to go all over the universe chasing down leads, then I am going with you. Besides...you should know that there isn't much I can't handle."

She smiled at him. "But right now...beer, burgers, and worshiping sounds like a good idea."
