Prelude for JLI
Max scowled at the reports. Phantoms, Vampires, Robots, Monsters. A veritable Saturday Morning Cartoon full of trochee-termed cliched freaks. And not a helpful hero in sight. So many of them didn't even take his calls these days. Almost made one want to go back into the business.

...It really did almost make one want to go back into the business. So many of the younger set seemed to get along with Cindy. Maybe they'd be more willing to be civil in order to deal with deal with problems like this.

"Sweetie? I need your Rolodex."
"Dad, I don't have a Rolodex. I have an iPhone."
"Same thing, sweetie."

And the messages start going out.

Avia's Mother Box was never far from her and a quick tap of that was enough to summon up her own costume. She pulled the mask into place.

She took just a moment to admire the hunk a hunk a Marvel.

"I'll get a Boom Tube going," she said.

But internally, he feels nervous. They're calling for him and Avia? It has to be pretty damn big.

One quick conversation with her Mother Box later, Avia had the coordinates set for the Boom Tube.

With a, well, boom, and a rush of air, the portal opened before them.

She held out her hand for Will. "Shall we?"
