Maria had heard about the battle on the island of Atlantis and heard Superboy had been hurt. News traveled rather quickly in the cape community, not to mention Terry was a member of the YJLA. Maria had to admit that she was a little worried. For Jon because he was hurt and the fact that something had seriously hurt him in the first place.

Still he was one of the few friends Maria had in this crazy world and she would pay him a visit to make sure he was going to be okay. Maybe to get him to smile too. The boy definitely needed to smile more.

She made a stop or two before going to visit him.

There was an incident, years ago before you even knew how to walk...I think I'm going to have to dig my notes out on this. It's possibly nothing but it's worth seeing if there's anything for a lead." She leans down and kisses Jon's forehead.

"I'm just really glad you're recuperating. I think it would actually kill me to lose either you or Jo."
