A few nights following....
She's relaxing in one of her hidey holes she has set up around Gotham. It's been a few nights since she an Robin had gotten into that fight. She was still rather sore over some of the things he had said to her.

And sore for other reasons really. She wouldn't disclose that to anyone. But she had redeemed herself just last night. For her own good she was laying low. That meant eating pizza and relaxing with some movies. She found herself very distracted because well she did have a weakness for bad horror movies and these were rather fantastic.

Also bad but that was part of the point. Little did she suspect she was about to have a visitor to her little safe haven.

"But there's a difference between hating to lie and enjoying it." He lies often, mostly for secret ID or crimefighting reasons, and he's generally rather good at it but he doesn't like or hate lying, it's just a job requirement. And a way to keep things private. If people didn't want him lying they shouldn't ask stuff he won't reveal.

"Still...you're hard to pin down. You take defending your employers too far but you have standards and stick to your word. You're a thief but you hate to lie. You don't mind flirting with crimefighters but run after you kiss them. And you're...a professional in most ways but you get surprised at people breaking into your place. Nobody's ever done that? Quite the enigma you are Foxy."

"If I'm under contract I consider a certain amount of loyalty part of the service. They're paying for me so I should be giving it my all," she says that seriously as she puts the bo stave back up.

Oh now she has her blushing but the room is mostly dark so he might not see that. "Getting too entangled is just a bad idea. You might coax things out of me I shouldn't say Robin..... and no one has ever gotten inside one of my 'safer' safe houses. I have dummy places for tripping up people who will hurt me if I mess up."

"There's a difference between loyalty and taking the fall for someone who'd gladly set you up for that." He's only saying this because he wants her to be less reckless with herself. If he was someone else she might have ended up in jail. Maybe not this time but eventually. And he's not comfortable with the thought that a thief like that could end up there because it'd mean....he didn't want to go there.

"Hmm this is one of your safer ones? Interesting. But maybe that's true...but taking the fall for your employer and ending up in jail is worse...I don't really want to have to do that to you." His tone tells her he's dead serious. Jail in his opinion was for the rapists and murderers, which she wasn't. Theft to him was...well Batman said it was bad, and he knew it was he just...couldn't condemn it.

"Well a bad security setup is pretty much a nice sign saying 'please come in, I don't mind unwanted visitors'," he jokes.

"Hmmm I'd like to think your perfectly law-abiding neighbours would be relieved to know that I'm preventing crime in the area. And that you keep excellent company. Because clearly I was invited," he smiles as he picks up a stray piece of popcorn off his cape. "Look! You even offered me popcorn. Aren't you sweet?"

"You get creeped out awfully easy. I mean the crazed serial killer could've been taken out easily. You'd have no problem with that guy." Yeah horror movies do not impress him, especially when you've seen worse stuff first-hand.

And Batman said crime never slept. It did take a break apparently. "Then no need for any awkward crimefighting encounter then since I'm not interupting anything."

He glances over at the TV, "Clearly you were picking from the bottom of the barrel."

Frowning he replies, "I had more violent crime to stop. Sorry I couldn't drop in." That and while he's annoyed she got away with it, he's also worried that he might have lost his temper again. Once was enough.

"Is this your usual night off? Really bad movies and throwing popcorn?" He's back to smirking now.
