The Flowers Job
Sarah had needed to do a very simple job. Get into a party a gangster was throwing and plant some bugs. Her employer was trying to gather intelligence and wanted to make sure that he was covering all of his bases. Honestly was was far too easy for her to find a way into the party. Invitations were easy to get her hands on and with the right dress no one really wanted to ask questions either.

Guards were so easy to flirt past. Especially when she was putting out all the stops. She thought she might even check out the safe while she was here. This was proving to be an incredibly easy and fun job for the thief. She should just try really hard to not tempt fate.

Thomas tilts his head and looks interested, "Turkey?"

"Well I went through all that trouble to have you in perfect condition and what do I get back? They got you shot. I need to have words with your boss about proper thief treatment." He shoots her a small smile, "What did you expect?"

"One of my favorite countries. France and Egypt tie for a close second," she offers with a soft smile.

"Is he going to have to start signing agreements with you?" She's trying so hard to not laugh. Then she softly kisses his cheek again. "Let me get my shoes on. We really should go."

He tries to keep the smile off his face at learning something more...personal from her. Especially since it might help him with figuring out her past.

"No. Agreements imply negotiation. This will be a...well order is a strong word, how about 'suggestion that will be enforced'?"

He grumbles at innerBatman, this was the equivalent of walking her to her door! And it was dangerous in Gotham at night, he was being gentlemanly. Ask innerAlfred. Although innerAlfred at least stayed quiet during the whole closet thing...if only the batman one could have.

Well she's not American. That is obvious by the place she named as her favorite.

"So bossy," she teases gently as she moves to pull her shoes on. "I don't blame you. You're part of the Batfamily. That implies a level of 'I am in control here'."

She means that in a good way.

"With good reason," he frowns. "People don't listen if you ask nicely. Well...not the ones I need to deal with at least."

Pause. "I don't mind letting someone else have control once in a while," he smirks. He couldn't resist that tease.

"Really? I never noticed. I mean criminals are so nice, you know," she jokes. "I mean all we need is just one big friendly hug. Like a buddy cop film."

She is so lucky that didn't really strike her as something to blush over. For her it would be if it actually sunk in.

"So," he smirks, "you're saying that the next time I want to stop one of your heists I just need to hug you? Hmmm...easier than I thought." They make their way out of the pool house quietly, and considering the two of them it's probably one of the most discrete exits you can get.

"I think if you did that to stop me.... I'd faint," she said after a moment.

Now they're outside so she moves quickly. Sarah is a very fast climber. The only issue is her dress so she hikes it up so the slit can rest on her hip to allow her more freedom of movement as she gains the height she needs.

It's nice to run over the rooftops with someone who can keep up, even if the dress slows her down a bit. Of course he can't help but glance appreciatively once she hikes it up.

Oh he's smirking now. He'll find a way to surprise hug her just to see her reaction now.

It won't do for him to get too far ahead. She has to lead the way since she was trying to get back to home.

They're still far enough off that Sarah is well aware she's going to regret her dress by the time they get there. She's very cold right now. She is going to put a fire on she thinks just so she doesn't get sick.

He slows a bit so she can close the distance. Plus...she is revealing a safehouse location to him now. He's curious to see if it's one he knows about.

"Here," she moves onto a roof top on one of the nicer buildings.

"No one comes up here at night," she grins at him as she gets the door. "I'm the only tenant on this floor too. We're safe. For now."

"Ah, so I take it those mobsters weren't your guys then." Honestly he shouldn't probably enter a criminal's "lair", but he doesn't think hurting him like this would be her style and well...he's curious about the place so he follows her in.

It's a big place for one person. There's a few things that paint this as home. A few obviously childish looking attempts at pottery kept on a shelf on the wall. The couch looks like it coast an arm and a leg at one point but it is well worn in.

And a big pile of DVDs near a TV.

Then there's the fire place. She kicks her shoes off and shivers like a leaf. Quick as she can she scurries over to start a fire while fighting off the chill from the outside.

She looks so cold still so once again he offers her his cape. "Nice place by the way."

It's more like what she thinks of home as. When he offers her the cape she snuggles into it. Then gets a look of herself in a mirror hanging up along one wall.

"Oh God. I look like a little kid." She giggles and shakes her head.

It does look awfully homey but he doesn't ask just in case. He does wonder though what it means that she was okay showing him this place.

He chuckles and adjusts the cape on her shoulders, "You need to stand taller and glare a little. Oh and turn off the lights. It helps with the menacing but mysterious effect."

"Hmmm yeah no. You have better ways of getting people to do what you want." Although he would admit it was amusing seeing her in his cape.

"That's just cause I'm tall. If I decided to go all buff then the size difference would be worse," he says, clearly amused.

She chuckles as she turns her gaze on him and gives him a once over.

"I think I prefer you like this," she purrs teasingly. She really did think he was attractive but saw no need to stroke his ego that much.

He's already made his opinion of that dress very clear. But he does like the cape look. Smiling at the once over he jokes, "Well...who ever heard of a buff Robin?"

"I don't think I have," she allows after a moment. She's still going to touch him even though she knows that at this rate this may turn into more than just flirting. She starts at the elbow and lets her hand come to rest on his shoulder.

Thomas freezes and stays very still now, a little confused at what she's doing, there was something different about this. And it doesn't help that innerBatman is telling him that being this physically close was a danger, she could do a lot of damage from here. He didn't think she would though.

He'd ruined something hadn't he? What was it though? She was only flirting wasn't she? She wasn't even interested...she couldn't actually...

Maybe he was being stupid.

But he feels like he did something wrong. He needs to get back to the usual teasing, get rid of this awkwardness. Do something.

He gives her a smile and does the first thing he can think of to surprise her, he pulls her into a tight hug (too tight to do anything much he tells innerBatman). "Don't go fainting on me now..." It might also be a little revenge for all her teasing tonight.
