Too bad Donald has a very pissed off Nalorian after him.

Waking is hard to do with the concussion and broken ribs, but when Josh's powers seep into Avalon's body, they bring him about quickly enough. It doesn't take more than a breath or two for Avalon to understand what was going on.

"Lock onto that son of a bitch who knocked me out." Avalon orders his ring, his voice actually a shade or two deeper with his seriousness. Those that haven't seen this side of Avalon might be surprised; the light hearted, smiling boy is gone, replaced by a strong as steel battle strengthened warrior.

Donald isn't getting away. Even if that means slamming Victor against a wall with a savage concussion blast. Avalon doesn't think twice about flinging Victor out of his way as he peruses Donald. Terminator style.

Avalon is far too pissed off for the mind control to work - it's based on fear, and fear is something he is all but immune to.

"Shut. Up." he snarls at the voice in his head, his right hand raising high with his blue ring aloft. While the construct he summons forth, to him, is a sword... the construct takes on a form that is relevant to Donald in a way that only he can see and understand.

"Your fear and avarice will be healed, though you in no way deserve it." the alien spits, as he brings his blue light to bear, cutting into Donald with it.

Unlike a normal blade - this one does not cut. It reaches into the other man, looking for inner wounds and cracks in the spirit, and fills them up with healing blue light. Hope.

Hope.

Donald feels the emotion flow into him. He hopes for friendship, which he has found with the Brain Trust. He hopes for finding love -- which, in his mind, requires money to care for the woman he finds to love. He hopes for his friends to succeed: for Torgar to rule Gorilla City, for Victor to develop his powers and defeat Superman in battle, and for Robert to get the wealth he seeks.

All this hope... only feeding Donald's ultimate goals.

Oh the joys of being Emapthic. When Avalon's blue light doesn't work, he doesn't even miss a beat. He dispels his blue light and instead curls a hand into a fist and takes a swing at Donald.

"You are truly sick, and twisted." he snarls. "When the blue light won't heal you and there is nothing more than can be done, that is when I get to relish kicking your ass for being such a douche!"

	Keith would have picked on King Kong, but he chose his battles more wisely. He wasn't going to break out any special ability. After Robert was sent sprawling, Keith comes in to kick him while he's down. (Reply to this)(Parent)
