Not part of the plan.
It was a mandatory team workout session with all the trimmings. Currently, they were in Phase two, which involved matching obstacles courses for the Flashes with speed timers and little tweaks to handle each of their particular weaknesses. A sparring-grounds situation of Cat Versus Jacob -- Tess had been gradually working at this and really hoped to get Jacob a little more confident on how to deal with a potentially violent situation -- and Lee Versus Layla. She and Mark were mostly taking a breather during Phase Two so that he could explain some how various precautionary spellwork was done.

	It takes a moment to realize anything is going on. Its when Iris breaks out of their not-race that he looks over. Oh, that's bad. 	Mark starts to slow down for a fraction of a second. Then Iris sends him bouncing across the room. His helmet seems to glow a little brighter and instead of casting the spell like he had planned to originally he strikes out with a blast of arcane energy. "No." He isn't going to just stop. Tess drops to avoid the blast. Okay. In situation like this, plans B through G weren't really going to work. Fate losing it was certainly planned for, but it was more like Plan H. Well, H-L.

"Flashes, keep at it," she says rapidly, needing Steven to continue the speed-draining in particular, since Order's biggest vulnerability was stagnation, so the slower, the riskier that slope. Iris could keep up a distraction; she'd manage to avoid getting hit. "Marvel, Hawkgirl, get me that helmet. Jacob, get out. get Mike Blood on the phone."

	Steven is on it the one-millionth of a second Tess starts to give the order. He begins to run circles, joining Iris in a dizzying circle, building up the speed force and leeching more and more of Mark's speed. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	That does just enough that Mark is sent to one knee. It isn't fast though like one would expect. He fumbles slowly as Steven takes away more of his speed. "No! I will have Order," Mark snarls something about the way he says it sounds off. They need to get the helmet off of him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Layla swooped in, mace out in front of her. She'd try to grab his helmet directly, swinging her mace so it'd hit Mark's side. Not hard enough to really hurt him, but just enough to disorient him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The Speed of Hermes is a good thing. he had been distracted by his various college paperwork and stuff when things got weird. Then he thought he saw Iris speed buy. After some moments of listening, he started to hear it. The sounds of fighting. So with the Speed he comes down quickly and sees...Mark gone mad. Maybe if he can disrupt the magic...

"SHAZAM!"

This is a distraction. Will is going for the Helm as the magic bolt come screaming down at Fate.
