The World According to Pippi
It had been a long fight with the Cadre, but in the end the Justice League International had won. The Cadre members were in jail and life went on. Dex grabbed a beer and kicked back on the couch in front of the tv.

"Maybe Miss Fluff or the pizza guy brought more zombies?" Despite the fact neither one has ever done that. Random thumps have their association now.

Dinadan shifts his weight a little, in case he needs to spring into action to face an attacker, but he mostly remains focused on Lizzy.

"Are you feeling unsteady, or more like things are spinning?" he asks. "Do you feel like you're going to pass out?"

Xian shifts into his armored form. He didn't have his staff on him so he settled for charging them, launching into a barrage of punches and kicks.

Some Kobra soldiers fell under Cian's blast and Xian's assault, but for each one that fell, another took their place.

They continued to fire.

"Shields, people!" Dinadan shouts as he takes cover, staying human-sized so the others could hear him. "Anyone who can make barriers for the less bullet-proof of us, do it!"

He grabs his sword again and shrinks down to Katarthan size -- small enough that he's harder to shoot, big enough that it won't take him forever to reach the Kobra soldiers -- and zig-zags his way across the floor, intent on wedging his blade into some gaps in some armor.

Shields? Well, ok. Pippi supposes she can make shields.

Via a combination of Chainsaw of Compassion and a little bit of stress-situation super strength, Pippi hacks a pretty good barrier out of the wall to the kitchen to interpose between the team and the bad guys.

Barbie does not have an opportunity to sigh. The Cry is hard enough for her as it is, especially keep it tightly focused enough to be effective and not hurt the team. So sighing would definitely not be an option.

Frankly Xian was grateful for something to hit as he screamed and charged into the group, limbs flying at the Kobra soldiers. he didn't even bother to dodge the incoming fire.
