Founders Day Parade and Celebration
The Founders Day Parade and Celebration was one of the biggest celebrations in Gotham. It was a day where the citizens of Gotham came out and showed their pride in their city. The festivities started in the morning at City Hall with a speech from the mayor and continued throughout the day. The largest parade of the year was held in the afternoon and fireworks lit up the sky in the evening. Merchants and restuarants set up kiosks on the sidewalks and the citizens shopped and ate as they watched the day's activities.

The day would also celebrate the victory of Anthony Sullivan in the mayoral race and it would be his first speech as mayor. The speech he gave was short, but had the citizens cheering by the end. The sun climbed into the sky and the parade started. Floats, marching bands and various other groups marched in the parade as it made its way through the streets of Gotham.

Evan just knew some shit was about to go down today, though he hadn't quite expected this. The sudden appearance of the Jokerz after the deaths of several of their leadership? No coincidence. He gave a quick call to Ezra to let him know what was going on before heading into the fray. No sooner had he gotten down there then he had to grab a guy who seemed frozen at the sight of the flames and pull him out of the way. Evan pulled out his impact guns and started shooting at the Jokerz' bikes.

	Some of the Jokerz went flying off of their bikes and landed with thuds. The ones that didn't fall of their bikes circled back around for another pass. The fireworks were being launched from a barge in the harbor. There were a number of Jokerz on the barge launching the fireworks. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Getting off the ground while the clowns made their turn around Nick hid behind a bus stop shelter waiting for the Jokerz to come by again. When they did Nick aimed a timed flying kick at one of them knocking them off of their biker. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

It took some doing, and a lot of rushed barging through crowds while trying to get them to go somewhere safe, but luckily he managed to swing the rest of the way to the harbour in short time.

Well...at least with the noises it'd cover up his approach. So Robin dove into the water, swimming to the barge quietly and mostly under water so they wouldn't notice him. It also gave him time to scope it out and see where each was and where the guard ones were. He swam to a secluded part of the barge where one had just passed by and snuck on. He knew he could only take out one or two without the rest realizing, so the first guard to pass by is unfortunate enough to go down with a nerve strike.

While he still has the element of surprise, Robin pulls out his bo staff again, and jumps out of the shadows to disarm his next target. Of course at that point surprise was a bit out of the window.

	The Jokerz react. Unknown to Thomas they had been waiting for someone to board the barge. Even better that it was Robin. These Jokerz were wearing clown masks instead of paint. They threw small round devices and gas started hissing out of them. They all moved toward Robin. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Fuck. He used his cape to shield himself from the gas and give him time to get his rebreather in, but in that time he'd already gotten enough of a gulp of one of the gases that it was starting to mess with his senses.

He swung with his staff at the nearest clown as he vaguely wondered why they had masks instead. This wasn't right...

But his mind was fogging up and it was taking most of his concentration to fight back.

	The Jokerz brought out clubs and started taking swings at Robin. Their movements and thinking weren't clouded by the gas because of the masks they wore. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He manages to get a few good hits of his own in the midst of it, but dodging wasn't going to be happening. He doesn't know how long it takes, but the clubs do get him and he hits the ground out cold. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Once Robin was out two Jokerz grabbed him. "C'mon. The Boss wants to see him." They tossed him in a small boat and three climbed in. They started rowing toward the far shore. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The retreating Jokerz had Nick worried, this did not seem right to him. If this was all about causing mayhem then why stop now.

Nick grabbed the bike from the clown he had dropped and started following after them.
