Founders Day Parade and Celebration
The Founders Day Parade and Celebration was one of the biggest celebrations in Gotham. It was a day where the citizens of Gotham came out and showed their pride in their city. The festivities started in the morning at City Hall with a speech from the mayor and continued throughout the day. The largest parade of the year was held in the afternoon and fireworks lit up the sky in the evening. Merchants and restuarants set up kiosks on the sidewalks and the citizens shopped and ate as they watched the day's activities.

The day would also celebrate the victory of Anthony Sullivan in the mayoral race and it would be his first speech as mayor. The speech he gave was short, but had the citizens cheering by the end. The sun climbed into the sky and the parade started. Floats, marching bands and various other groups marched in the parade as it made its way through the streets of Gotham.

"A bit is far too long." He knew how long it'd take with the cast, but add in rehabilitation time and it got lengthier. Not to mention that while getting one leg back in crimefighting shape would be a pain, two at the same time was worse and took longer. Yeah, she definitely be in street shape before him no doubt about it. "As for him, he's stubborn and obsessive but not stupid. His body is in no shape for this and he'll realize it. But if you don't want to talk about the other thing to me, you know that talking to him about it is far worse."

In contrast Thomas most certainly did not smile or appreciate the superboy mention. He had no super healing powers and did not like being reminded of it right now, half-kryptonian guys certainly fell right into that category. "I'm not worried about it too much. There's worse stuff out of our control to be concerned about." He noticed she was avoiding the question and gave her a pointed look about it. Whatever it was, it better not affect their job, and Bruce would likely find out what it was. If he already didn't know, Thomas thought. That man seemed to know everything.

	The thought of Bruce finding out was like thinking of the Apocalypse. She'd try to keep him from finding out about Tomas/Skanda for as long as possible. "Do you want a ride home?" she asked. It was best to move off of all the topics. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"I'm fine. Just a few broken ribs and a patched up punctured lung. Good enough for driving as long as we're not in the Indianapolis 500." She'd have to get the keys from Tomas. Thomas would argue that anyone who knew her identity had a good guess at his and vice versa. But he'd appreciate not having to ride with Maria's fling and keep up whatever official story it'd be. Car crash or something probably.

"I was going to wait for the boss, who'll likely have a change of clothes and help get me out of bed and into the car. You shouldn't strain yourself trying to find a ride for both of us. Go charm a change of clothes and a ride for yourself out of someone, I'll see you back at the Manor later."
