Don't go wasting your emotion...
Iris was a little disoriented from her and the Titans scuffle with the Raiderettes. It had to be one of the weirdest fights she'd ever had. She wasn't even sure if they'd won...or if they got their asses kicked in the process.

And where did that Jayhawk guy go, anyway?

But that didn't matter, right now, what matter was that Ceridan was lying on the floor, hurt! Iris raced over to him, her arms still full of cookies. He was her TRUE LOVE and his safety was ALL THAT MATTERED right now.

"Cerdian?" she asked, "Are you okay?"

	Cerdian slowly starts getting to his feet. He looks around, sneering, and begins brushing himself off. That hurt! "You let them get away?" he asks to the other Titans, annoyed. He glances at them. "I guess," he mutters. It doesn't look burnt anyway. Better than her usual attempts.

He glances around. "Alright, you guys finish tidying up around here. I'm heading home. Go arrest Dinah for her thefts and kick her out of the Titans. I'll go handle the paperwork."

He catches a glimpse of himself in the mirror, and does a doubletake. He straightens his hair. Okay, he really does look good.

Ruth's still busy trying to get the goggle-bedecked twit to let go. Finally, she angrily uses the hand not clutching the wrist to pry the fingers off.

Then Ruth scooped the girl up into her arms and hurried-- actually, not much faster than a normal speed, despite still being in the costume, in whic hshe'd previously gone so fast. Nothing could be easy, could it? -- over to the requisite fountain all such shopping centers had.

Ruth's blood pressure starts to surge again at this incorrigible display.

But no.
This is wrong.

Ruth takes a deep breath, whispers in a talk-singing way under her breath, "I do not ask for any crown/but that which all may win,/nor try to conquer any word/except the one within." Another deep breath for good measure.
And the weight feels like it's lifting. Slightly. She's not happy by any stretch of the imagination, but she's keeping it together.

"Aquagirl's right. We need to focus. See about getting in touch with your people," she says calmly, trying to try to project the kind of tone a person can concentrate on, instincts she doesn't fully understand taking over slightly.
