Washed Ashore (open to YJLA)
Koryak swam as fast as he could, which at this point wasn't very fast. He was covered in wounds from his escape from Poseidonis and blood was flowing freely. There had been shark attacks as he swam from Poseidonis. They had been drawn by the scent of blood in the water and they added more wounds to his body.

Koryak was weakening quickly, but he had to press on. He had to reach the Justice League. He had to reach Cait. She had to know what was going on in Atlantis.

Driven by purpose and running on sheer willpower, Koryak reached the surface. He crawled up on the beach and fell. Sand was rough against his skin and he lifted his head and looked at the buildings. Almost there, but he would not make it. Blackness closed in and his head fell. A prince of Atlantis lay on the beach bleeding.

Later the YJLA would get a call from local law enforcement.

	Cait leaned against the wall and then slid down to sit on the floor. Her chest was tight and it was painful to draw breath. How could this happen? Why Koryak? Why her brother? She pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"He's missing," Cait said as she looked up at him. "Atlantis has been taken over." Cait couldn't talk anymore. She reached out with her mind and found his. His altered DNA helped facilitate the connection. Cait showed him the images she got from Koryak's memories. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	AJ's a bit taken back by the images Cait showed him. Even though he'd never seen these people or places before, he could feel the emotional connection to them. "I see." He places a hand on his chin. "Then I guess we need to find him first." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

It was just as hard to mentally form the words as it was to say them. She just wanted to curl up in a ball and pretend none of this happened.

Koryak's dead. Atlantis has been taken over. Mother's imprisoned and Father's missing.

She wanted to be mad that Ty wasn't here when she needed him the most, but she couldn't. She didn't have the energy or the will.

She looked up at AJ. "We need to get my mother first. She will know where my father went."
