Mornings and pancakes
Maria was an aberration in her family, biological and adopted, in that she was a morning person. She woke up with the sun and was always in a good mood and full of energy. Uncle Bruce used to tell her to go back to bed or go find something to do when she woke him up at the crack of dawn by tugging on the sleeve of his pajamas.

This morning she was up early as always and in the kitchen making pancakes and dancing around the kitchen as she did.

	"I...okay. We'll give it a try. If it doesn't work out or I don't fit in, I'll look for something else. Deal?" Dealing with Bruce was easier if you at least gave his way a try and offered an alternative if it didn't work out. Most people found Bruce to be inflexible and stubborn, but if one worked with him instead of against him life was easier and less stressful. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"I get out enough," Bruce replied. In fact, he had an event he needed to go to that was quickly coming up.

"Events and business trips are enough outings."

Maria rolled her eyes. "I wasn't saying she couldn't make dinner, I'm saying you need to get out more. You need to get out and I need to see more of this world. It works perfectly." She smirked. "Unless of course you'd be thoroughly embarrassed to be seen with me. Think about all the rumors that could be started if you were out with some young thing with bodacious boobs."
