Not-So-Perfect Night
Mickey was being very cuddly and attentive when her and Steven got out of the movies. The new Tron had been pretty damn awesome...though there were parts where they weren't paying attention.

"So," she said to Steven as they walked out of the movie theater and into the snow-covered streets. "What's next? Dinner...or do we want to go back to the brownstone and work up an appetite?" She grinned at him.

	"I'm not leaving you here!" She said, standing up. She narrowed her eyes at Major Force. "I don't know what the hell you've got against my Dad, Major Force, but you sure as hell aren't taking it out on me." She formed a giant shadow baseball bat, and swung at Major Force. "I'll... be fine." he manages, things starting to clear up a little bit. He can hear the purple guy talking to Mickey - sounds like she knows him. Its still like thinking through a fog though - he's pretty sure he hit his head pretty hard. She just needs to hold out a little longer, or lead the guy off - he's sure he'll be fine, even if it requires a last second save. He's always been fast enough before.

	He was starting to try and get to his feet, only to see a chunk of bulldozer coming at him. Still unsteady, all he can do is dive out of the way, not able to see Mickey and Major Force at the moment, but alert enough to begin trying to speed heal a bit and catch up to the situation. 	Oh damn! He tries to run, and stumbles, his head pounding. That just won't do. He tries again, starting to blur, but for him, it seems painfully slow and unsteady, still seeing two Major Force's in front of him, vision not quite focused yet. "Mickey!" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Steven!" She struggled, her eyes going wide as she realized what had happened. Mickey's entire body went completely limp, as the life drained out of her eyes, and blood poured out from the hole in her chest. 	Now that he's halfway coherent, the blasts don't come close. He sidesteps, swinging for Force's chin again, not having noticed that just punches aren't having a lot of effect. "Don't have the guts? 	Finally realizing the effect he isn't having, and having noticed the taunt, Steven tries to phase through the villain to attack from a different angle. There's a flash of light as he does so, and he's tossed back. "You're... you're not human. What are you?" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

He dodges right, just barely avoiding the blast, pushing himself faster and faster and faster still. Every time before, when someone died, when something went wrong, enough speed fixed everything - or at least started everything over. He can fix this - he just has to play it through.

"I don't need to kill you." he says, disappearing in a blur, then reappearing behind Major Force.

"You're just a coherent energy field." he adds, the Garrick scientist in him chipping in as his hands start to vibrate.

"Can't create or destroy energy - but if you excite the molecules enough, I can make you a lot less coherent. You weren't using this head-shaped construct for anything important, right?"

	Major Force felt an odd sensation going through his neck. "What the---" It then hit him what Steven was trying to do. "Hey! Cut that out!" With enough force, Major Force's head came clear of his body, his body just hitting the ground. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
