With Great Power Comes... Shiny Faux Gold Belts, pt. 1
The Exiles disappear from the asteroid in the midst of massed armadas after the fight with Thanos, down two of their number. After the grandeur of space and sweeping cosmic nature of their last mission, its kind of a shock to the system to end up in a dusty parking lot outside a massive arena. Currently the place is empty, though signboards flash up some of the current events planned to take place there in the near future.
Just as pressing, of course, there's a couple new faces in their midst.

Kev just smiles at Dane with a lack of social awareness. "Good to know!"

And then he'll smile at Lester for good measure. "So what line are you in, Lester?"

"They were the same in my world... but then in my world, all of you are dead, or in Danielle's case, never born. So far, the Timebroker has given us some tough matches... a Ghost Rider and Mystique to name two, but its always worked out so far."

"Wrestling or something like it," Natasha said. "Tony went to a big event or the like in Vegas once. Security was a nightmare." If she thought about it she would remember it involved a set of twins in hotel room afterward.

Danielle raised an eyebrow. "Spider-Man and Ben Grimm and UCWF? They don't really strike me as the professional wrestling types. Well, Ben Grimm maybe, but Spider-Man? He seems to geeky. Of course, no one's seen him in years where I'm from."

"One of Mummy's pediatric patients is a huge fan of the Spider Squad. I remember her going on once about the fact that Spider-Man once entered a wrestling competition right before he took up heroing and forming the Squad."

Kev looks at Tasha. "You think the Tallus wants us to win a wrestling contest? ...I'm not going to be much help there, unless they need patching up after."

"Lovely. And since none of us are big wrestling fans, apparently, it sounds like we need more information. Wish we still had Spider's personal assistant for times like these. Kev, Tasha... I think you're our best tech people. Think you can find a computer or some brochures or something that will give us more information on the UCWF? If we need to win the championship, that means we need to know how to get in. If we're guessing the Talus' meaning right, that also means we have some time before even the event tonight... and I doubt we could win the championship in one night anyway. Other people want to volunteer to do some clothes shopping so we don't stand out so much, and someone want to grab a newspaper so we can find out where and when we are?"

"When we started, we had someone from a future timeline with a personal assistant that could do a lot of the research wherever we were. If anyone has the technological knowledge to do something similar so we can get more information quickly, that was awfully helpful. Otherwise, on worlds where the goals seem to give us some time, and we aren't immediately under attack, the usual routine we got into was grabbing a newspaper to check for date, location and possible stories related to our mission. A source of money, when possible, is also good... and helps with clothes that will let us fit in wherever we're at. So everyone knows, anything that you jumped into the desert with is what the Timebroker deems your normal gear. That will go with you from world to world, no matter where you leave it. Anything else - if its not on you when we jump, it won't go with you. So if you gain something you want to keep, keep it with you if you can. Also means we need to figure out money and changes of clothes and things often. Third thing is figuring out points we can connect to. In some worlds, people you know of as the good guys at home will be villains, and vice versa. Until we find points of reference, don't ever assume anything. Right now, we know this world has a Spider-Man and a Ben Grimm... and apparently they're associated with the UCWF, but not much else. Finding out if we have any potential allies, or if Kingpin is the president... things like that, can be useful. Sorry for the information dump, but last world didn't give us a lot of time for small talk. I know I'm younger than a lot of you, but I've also been doing this for a couple years now... other suggestions are welcome."

"Whichever people feel they're best suited to do. We've usually tried to keep people in groups of two or more til we get our bearings. If the tech types are up to it, we could also use communicators. If anyone has money on them, or a reasonable way of getting it, food and a cheap hotel room or something so we have a place to work out of wouldn't hurt. I know I could use a shower and about a dozen pizzas after that last mission."
