No Rest For the Weary
The alarms cut through the silence of the night and started blaring. The residents and guests of the mansion would come from their rooms and other places to find injured individuals around the grounds. Most were sporting bleeding cuts and gashes that appeared to have been made by claws. A few faces were definitely missing from the gathered group.

Dorrek can't keep pace with Sarah flying at top speed, but once she stops, he can eventually catch up. Of course, this time, he catches up just in time to see his teammate disappear beneath an avalanche of angry Hulk. He swears in Skrull and pours on the speed, angling his trajectory so that he'll hit the Hulk high, hoping to knock him further off-balance if not off Sarah.

	Dorrek is a good person to have in a fight. Hulk is knocked off balance and finds himself unable to keep throwing his fists at Sarah. "OW! STINGS! NO LIKE. GO AWAY." He shakily turns to start striking at Dorrek next. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

That may have him off balance, but Sarah is sure he's not going to stay that way long. The Hulk has held his own with whole teams before, and one wrong move could get them hurt or killed.

She clears her head as best she can, then lifts off, hoping her new teammate can keep him distracted while she builds up speed, launching herself at the Hulk's lower back at full speed, leading with the edge of the shield.

Dorrek has never had to fight the Hulk before, but he knows he's no match for him strength-against-strength. So that means hit-and-run tactics and hoping like hell the Hulk doesn't manage to grab him when he gets in close.

"Nope, not going away," he says, relieved to see Sarah climbing back to her feet. "You're going to have to make me."

He flaps out of reach then wheedles around to hit Hulk high again while Sarah aims low.

	"MAKE YOU!" And then he pulls both hands apart wide and slams them together. Then Sarah manages to hit him and his eyes go wide as he stumbles. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The shockwave hits her head on, since she was getting well up into the MACHs, only hr momentum and the vibranium keep her from being thrown back, but the shield takes enough of it to let her carry forward, driving the edge of the shield between two vertebrae. Not enough to hold such an invulnerable creature long, but she obviously hit something important.

"HIT HIM WITH EVERYTHING!" she shouts, trying to get the sound to carry past the ringing in their ears.

She whirls the hammer, hard and fast as she can, then lifts off, bringing it down on top of the Hulk's head, getting her shield up over her own, and using the contact with the Hulk's head as the 'taps' to summon the lightning right on that spot, even if she's way too close for comfort right now.

	Dorrek's stunned by the shockwave, but fortunately his healing factor means that he's not out of the fight yet. He wheedles around clumsily as Sarah strikes with lightning, aiming low to keep from accidentally knocking Sarah off her perch. Lightning is definitely faster than he is, he'll take advantage of the aftermath to hit. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	And suddenly it isn't them who are feeling a world of hurt. It is the Hulk. His eyes go comically small from pain. He is about to go down to one knee from the surprise of the pain. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

She made a mistake one time before. She had the Hulk slowed, and tried to reason with him - and got almost killed for it. She knows she can't make that mistake again.

"Hold him, long as you can!" she yells, moving back, hovering just enough to be at the Hulk's head level, whirling the hammer faster and faster, letting the energies build up without striking, hoping her new teammate can buy her enough time.

	Dorrek's philosophy on fighting boils down to "once you decide to hit someone, keep hitting them until they're out". He absorbs his wings and shifts his hands into stone Thing-like fists and starts hammering away at the Hulk to keep his attention. (Reply to this)(Parent)
