First impressions
It had taken her awhile, but Grace had managed to locate Defenders HQ. Granted, she got lost a couple of times on the way there....but she was there now.

Her heart was beating loudly and felt like it would fall out of her stomach. Her palms were sweaty and her feet felt like blocks of cement.

She could do this. She wanted to do this for seventeen years. Well...granted, she didn't know who her father was until recently, but she'd still wanted to meet him just the same.

Inhaling and gathering her courage, Grace walked up to the door and pressed down on the buzzer.

Halbjorn and his usual companion wander upstairs. He thought he heard crashing around near the kitchen, which usually meant cooking. Granted, the last three times he's been right, its been cookies. He lost all sweet tooth about the time he hit seven or eight. Mead is as sweet as he cares to get, given the choice. Wastes of good flour, no real substance to them, no point in them except Ohu and Zoey loved them. But they were, only if very slightly, better than nothing. Especially when there's never any food around this place.

Not seeing anyone in the kitchen, but hearing an unfamiliar voice, the 7', barely clad bear-jherk wanders out to find Zoey and her new guest. The tiger is padding along at his heels, occasionally batting at a large dust bunny he found along the way.

	"Halbjorn!" Zoey exclaimed when she saw him as she tugged on Grace's hand. "This is Grace! She's here to see Simon. But Simon isn't here so she's hanging out. We're going outside so she can show me her powers and I can show her Snowflake." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Halbjorn walks up to the pair, reaching down to offer to pick Zoey up in one arm, while extending the other to Grace - no, not to pick her up, though he could, just a greeting, really. Subtle as a buick through a plate glass window, of course, he's eyeing her as well and not trying to hide it.
"Grace, thy name ist surely most apt. To what do we owe the pleasure of gaining such fair company, and how long wilt thou be staying?"

He lifts Zoey effortlessly, and turns Grace's hand gently in his, bowing slightly before her, the size difference putting his face close to hers when he does so. "Then this compound ist brightened by e'en thy brief presence, fair Grace, and surely thou'rt welcome as long as thou shouldst wish, and we shalt keep thee well entertained whilst thou wait. What business hast thou with Simon?"

"Fear thee not, lovely one. We hath very large and comfortable accomodations here. If thou'rt a family friend, then surely thou'rt welcome here." This is his version of subtle around the six year old.
Carrying Zoey now, he glances to the door. "So thou wert going to go see the stables? Mine sister keeps them well. And aye, mine sister and I hath him well trained. Zoey helps Svalin in training him some days."
