Picking up
When she got back she peeled her uniform off in her room. Her body was bruised and she smelt like that place. So she sighed then took a long shower to wash the smell out of her hair and off her skin. She dried off and got dress in a pale floral dress she found hanging up then changed into something dark green that covered her up nicely while still leaving her feeling somewhat pretty. She got a dark vest and pulled that on then went in search of the boots and knee high socks that went with the outfit pretty well.

She gave up on getting dressed and flopped on her bed. Just mostly dressed and not in a great mood. She searches for her phone and starts to go through the list of names. She almost calls Jack needing to hear from family. She doesn't though. Misha is almost picked out instead but it isn't him either she turns to.

She calls Iason while dragging a tissue. She just needed to hear him right now.

The phone rings and she waits.

	She smiles and nods. "Maybe we could go for a quick dip then? I can shower and whatever latter on at the hotel. It's just... nice right here." 	Eliza smirks slowly. She knew what he meant. It was just fun to imagine the other ways she could be dried off. She pulls the dress back off so it won't get soaked and gets up to go to the edge of where the waves are lapping up on the shore. "The water looks nice." She's just oing to ease herself in. 	He did mean generating enough heat to dry her off mid-flight, but he senses something... interesting in her expression. Not as temperature sensitive, he flies about twenty feet out, and lets himself drop into the water in a dive, coming up about ten feet from her. "Very pleasant, yes." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Eliza laughs then runs and leaps in. She misjudges the depth of the water and belly flops. The look on her face is one of someone who isn't very amused.That had hurt for a moment. She does start trying to swim though and fares much better. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He knows that fatigued mortals sometimes aren't at their best, let alone injured ones. All the more reason to give her a few days. At the splashing, he grins, ducking down underwater, going deep, and coming rocketing up, grabbing her on the way past and kissing her firmly as he rises above the water. 	Eliza gives a startled yelp but then gets into the kiss with a slow grin. Sure she knows she won't be at her best for a few days but this is much different. By the time he breaks the kiss, they're well up into the air. He goes into a dive, turning about, well knowing she usually loves the adrenaline rush, and she seems to have taken to the surprise and kiss well.
He pulls out of the dive at almost the last second, curving about, and eventually slowing to a hover with his back just barely touching the water, acting as her own personal flotation device so she can trail hands or feet in the water while she lays on his chest.

"Its good seeing you. I've missed you, and thought about visiting a few times, but didn't want to be disruptive while you were settling in."

Eliza's eyes go bright for a moment because she just loves the rush. It's exciting and she nearly peals into wild laughter because that was just fun.

She wiggles her toes in the water. It is hard for her to stay still at this point. She has turned into a ball of energy. A ball of energy that's hungry but she doesn't feel like bothering with clothes right now.

She stares at him. She is glad he wasn't there for Murderworld. She doesn't want him to know that side of humanity but she is aware he probably knows about it. "Next time just come, please. I missed you too. You're never interrupting."

She doesn't know how to put words to how she feels about Iason. But he makes her forget all the really bad things. She is surprised that she didn't wake up screaming too. That is why she is going to be careful with him. She doesn't want to say she feels something just because she feels so safe around him that would be a disservice to him.

He can smell the rush of pheromones and adrenaline from the dive, even if her expression didn't make it obvious. Likewise, he has some idea how she feels about him, mostly from the same factors. He doesn't say a lot where emotions are concerned, in part because he doesn't want her to feel uncomfortable, all the more reason he always lets her lead in these things, and just follows when she's ready.

"I will visit regularly then. I haven't spent any time in New Orleans, but it ems like an interesting place. I've heard Creole food is very good too. And anywhere with you is better for it."

Eliza blushes for a moment. She should get used to the fact Iason says things like this all the time. He means it too, she can tell. He isn't the kind of guy to make things up. He has been taking things are her pace which is nice.

She plants a kiss on his mouth. "I'll look forward to your visits. And it is a nice city. The food is fun.... And I like no.... I love having you around."

	Neither of his parents are precisely noted for their deceptions. Really, his mother is noted for being /too/ honest. He doesn't go that far, but he tends towards pretty up front. 	Eliza chuckles lowly. "See. Now I know I'll be good and rest. It will be easy to be lazy for a couple of days." She is drawing a circle on him with her finger tips. He nods, keeping his expression as neutral as he can. "Yes. The Deviants have declared war on the Eternals... they've always had superior numbers, but the individual power difference made it a moot point. Now, they have near our equal in capability, and greater numbers. We have some time, engines of war move slowly, but the ancient war will begin moving again soon. When that time comes, I may have to return home for a time."
