Time to make a difference for the attackers, and make this hurt for the X'ers.

Winterkill went into hiding when Cait noticed her, but Corey's arrival gives her just the chance she needs. She lunges, trying to get both hands around his neck where she can drain the heat from him quickly - and where Cait will have a hard time responding. She can't kill the kid, but she can sure make the X'ers life difficult.

	Being near-pounced was extremely disconcerting for Corey. He ducks down and over as Cait shouts and confronts his attacker and tries to regain his shaken hold on the speedster girl while also regaining his footing. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Mikhaila ducks under the column of ice. Cait is quick and powerful, but Winterkill has actual training. She's also focused on what she needs to do - get Hype back in the fight and deal with the X-Men without killing these two.

She jabs with her fingertips at Corey's eyes while he's off-balance, not a deadly attack, but if she can make contact, having the heat taken from his eyes ought to be plenty disconcerting.

"This isn't one you can win." she taunts, continuing to limit Cait's options by staying near Corey, who so far doesn't seem to be the best close-quarters fighter.

	Cait yelled when Winterkill kept going for Corey. She unleashed the full fury of her rage at the woman and grabbed at every drop of water in the woman. "YOU WILL NOT TOUCH HIM!" she yelled and pulled hard on the water inside of the woman. The water around the island started to crash against the land. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The pain is intense, horribly. Winterkill's breath is taken away, and she drops, crunching up in pain.

When she looks up again, she sees Hype going on the war path - about fucking time her distraction proved worthwhile.

Trying to recover some of the damage while there's a distraction, Mikhaila tries to grab Corey's ankle to help her regenerate whatever the Drake bitch had done to her.

	Corey's almost as visual a person as he is tactile, and that's saying something. The witch may not have affected his eyes as much as she might've liked but he's still freaking out a little even before she grabs his ankle. He tries dragging up the ground between them, but he's not doing his absolute best by a long shot. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Cait went down to her knees from the onslaught by Hype. She was not going to let Winterkill hurt her brother. She continued to pull at the water in the woman's body as she struggled to stay conscious. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Even distracted, Cait is vicious, though Hype is helping. With Corey somewhat blinded and drained, she trusts the extractors can handle it. She lets Corey put up his shield and lets go, trying to drag herself away through the pain. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
