(Not) Just a Normal Day At Avengers' Mansion
Svalin and Tryggvi just landed on the small lawn in the back of the Avengers Mansion. Svalin had been getting antsy and decided to take Tryggvi out for a flight around New York. They were both feeling too confined. At least at the Defenders compound there was room to move around and a nice ocean breeze. There were too many tall buildings in New York and they were all too close.

Svalin dismounted and immediately removed the saddle. She let it fall on the ground and then removed the bridle. She smiled and lightly rubbed Tryggvi's nose before placing a kiss on his forehead. "Thank you, my friend. 'Twas a most enjoyable flight."

"Sarah Rogers, only in town a day or two longer - just visiting. Our fathers are friends... well, sort of."

"Aye. Mine father doth know Steve Rogers well, if that ist thine father." Tryggvi headbutted his mistress for turning her attention elsewhere.

Sarah walks up, extending an open hand towards the horse's nose without touching it.
"Another dimension's Steve Rogers, diffrerent Thor, but friends there like they are here. In my world, Thor just has one child, a son he named Balder, but he was a good guy."

The horse sniffed the open hand and then nudged it looking for a treat.

Svalin smiled. "'Tis a good name and fitting for a good guy. Mine father and Steve Rogers hath long been good friends. Perhaps it ist the same in many dimensions. 'Tis a pleasure to meet thee."

"His name ist Tryggvi. It means faithful one," Svalin said. She smiled as she watched her horse trying to find a treat. Svalin pulled a sugar cube out of a small pouch at her waist and offer it to Sarah. "He doth like these."

She takes the sugar cube, careful to keep her motions nice and slow, offering the cube to the horse.
"Your father taught me a little of the language. I'm not fluent, but I thought it was something like that, yeah."

Ryan was coming in for his daily work out and with the weather being so nice he had decided to go outside to do some target practice with his throwing weapons.

When he walked outside he noticed Svalin with her neat horse talking to someone he had not met not that he knew Svalin that well either. He walked over towards them. “Hey Svalin,” He said and then towards Sarah, “I don’t believe we’ve met, I’m Ryan.”

The horse eagerly took the sugar cube and looked for another one.

"He ist a good mount and I art proud to have him." Svalin patted Tryggvi's neck. Brunhilde could had every right to take him away from her for her actions in Asgard, but she hadn't. Svalin was very thankful for this.

"What ist your world like?" she asked, now curious. She turned when she had been greeted by a new voice.

"Well met, Ryan," she said with a nod.

"I think Anya's in the lab," Charlie said, as he made his way into the backyard. "At least that's where she normally is." He gave Ryan and Svalin a small wave. "It's Sarah...right?"

"It is. And you would be Charlie." Its not a question. She recognizes the stance, even when relaxed. She's seen it in the mirror thousands of times.

Except that my Earth is pretty much run by human supremacists whose rule is enforced by giant robots. 95% of the superhuman population is dead or smuggled themselves to England."

Sarah shrugs. She met this world's Cap - they aren't close, they were never going to be. Familiarity often stings a lot more than it helps anything. "That's ok, you were busy. And... well, right now, my world doesn't exist. I'll be leaving this dimension again soon to go back to trying to fix that."
