Kingbreaker- City at War

There is chaos in the street of New York City as a wave of increasing gang violence has swept through the city. The exact groups fighting are unknown at this time but it is believed to be related to the attacks on gangs that has been going on for over a month.

Citizens are advised to stay off the streets as much as possible especially at night and to listen to the news about areas were violence is currently occurring. The police are doing their best to control the situation and to stop the people responsible however they are currently having difficulties as many of the people leading these outbreaks of violence seem to have superhuman powers.

That blow should have knocked him out at least and when it didn’t Phil was pissed he didn’t like it when he could not hurt things the way he liked too. Clearly this was no ordinary human and Phil didn’t like that because it was going to take actually work to take him out and if he was lucky he would get to kill him.

With his mind distracted the enhanced punch hit him hard he wasn’t sure but it might have fractured his jaw. Using the force of the blow and his own telekinesis he pulled himself into the air levitating several feet off the ground. “I don’t know and right now I don’t care but I am going to kill you,” Phil said clearly not happy. He then sent a much stronger telekinetic blast at Rebound.

Rebound's pretty glad his goggles hide the 'oh ****!' look that comes to his eys when Phil starts levitating. He always did have trouble with fliers. Momentarily cursing the fact that flight didn't get passed down to him from either parents, the hero with the bright red hair punches his open palm to call up a shield.

"Glad to hear ya have a goal. Everyone needs one," he taunts. The blast connects and the pavement below Rebound cracks and breaks as he's forced down to one knee. "Why don't you come back down here and play?" he asks, standing back up. "Or am I gonna have to come up there?"

Okay...gotta watch out. This guy hits hard and I don't want to overload. he thinks to himself, trying to plan an effective attack and way to burn off enough energy without seriously hurting anyone.

	Despite the amount of force he had behind him Phil bounced off of Rebound’s kinetic energy shield. This fight was really starting to piss him off. He crashed into a car before he could catch himself with a thud. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Rebound doesn't do as well as Phil. The impact causes that overload he wanted to avoid. There's a bright flash of blue light as all the absorbed energy is released. He's sent flying out of sight too, bouncing a few times. He hits a wall and then falls to the ground as the rubble falls on him. Seems like he'll be joining that Avenger in the hospital once he gets out from under those bricks.

	Even though Rebound was not able to fight any more Phil was not feeling so hot himself with his badly hurt jaw, what would be a ton of bruises later from the impacts, and just thinking about moving hurt. He slowly gets himself off the car and telekinetically launches himself how of the area. He had done enough and if the Kingpin didn’t like it well screw him. (Reply to this)(Parent)
