Saving the Kids
Irina had to concentrate on the image that Lyta had sent to her, but after a few moments she had been able to open a portal to a spot just inside the main building. Her knives had been out and ready when she stepped through. They went flying through the air heading toward the two guards that had been standing near the door. The knives hit them in the chest and they fell to the ground. Stepping through portals and into trouble was quite common for her.

"Let's go," she called back to the others.

	The soldiers opened fire and the sound of gunfire echoed in the hallway. About half dodged out of the way when the skeleton with the flaming head came roaring down the hall on the motorcycle. The rest were blasted by some force from an unseen foe. The alarms started blaring. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	More soldiers ran into the hall from an adjoining hallway. A few paused and lowered their weapons a little. They paused for a moment and then started opening fire on their fellow soldiers. The others managed a few shots before their comrades turned on them. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Heavy footsteps signaled Argo's arrival. He had seen to Alisa's defeat and found a safe place to keep her until the children could be rescued, before proceeding to find the others.
