Saving the Kids
Irina had to concentrate on the image that Lyta had sent to her, but after a few moments she had been able to open a portal to a spot just inside the main building. Her knives had been out and ready when she stepped through. They went flying through the air heading toward the two guards that had been standing near the door. The knives hit them in the chest and they fell to the ground. Stepping through portals and into trouble was quite common for her.

"Let's go," she called back to the others.

	The kids were at a door to the building and were in the process of leaving. They could only go through one by one so it slowed them down long enough for Argo to catch up to them. Four soldiers brought up the rear and turned to face the Olympian coming at them. They opened fire. (Reply to this)(Thread)

Ordinarily, Argo would have simply waded through the firepower, heedless to the bullets that would bounce of his invulnerable skin and armor. But here, with the children, he moves with surprising speed and agility for one so muscular, avoiding most of the shots to avoid ricochets. He comes up alongside the soldiers, striking out with a bellow of rage at the first one he came across.

	The children huddled together while the soldier dealt with the big man in the room. The solider Argo hit went flying across the room and into the far wall. He fell to the floor like a prom dress on prom night. The other three continued to fire on the big man. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Argo wasted no time in closing the distance between himself and the remaining soldiers, striking out quickly each time. He pulled his punches only in the slightest sense of the word. Had the children themselves not been present, he likely would have killed them. As it was, they would probably be gravely injured. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The soldiers tried, but they were no match for the Olympian. They went flying in every direction and landed with thuds on the floor. It was quite safe to say they weren't going to get up anytime soon. The kids just stared wide-eyed at Argo. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
