Goodbyes:
It wasn't expected.

Ohu Amane received an unusual phone call today. And now his room is empty.

It's abrupt, but Ohu Amane has never done anything in half-measures.

He goes from room to room, seeking out the Defenders one at a time to say his goodbyes.

He laughs. "Dawn, I am Ohu Amane. I will be fine. It will be an incredible adventure, and I will be laughing the whole time."

He leans closer. "And you... you will be better than fine. You do not trust yourself in this strange new world you have been thrust into. But Dawn... you will not merely survive this world. You will thrive in it. Because if you didn't... what kind of a story would that be?"

He smiles as he leans in to hug her.

He smiles at her. "I have seen it, Marlow. And it, like all stories, is true... in its own way." He moves to her side and takes her hand gently. "This is one truth I have attempted to instill upon you all. You may have the best chance to learn it." He kisses her cheek gently. "Remember... all stories are true. Especially the ones that are untrue. Particularly the well-crafted ones." He holds up a single finger. "Remember this one truth, and your mind will be open to learning more than most will ever understand."

	He grins, an honest, happy grin. "All stories eventually must come to an end, Marlow. And my story here is done -- at least, for now. The realm of the Ashanti Gods has need of me, and for once, it is not something I can refuse." His grin turns somewhat wicked. "And with the end of one story, a new tale can be woven. "Never forget, Grace... you are favored by the gods." He hugs her back. "And do not forget that present I left for you. When you are ready for a grand adventure... the greatest of your life... open it. Events will then be set in motion." He winks at her. "Remember, adventures are not always pleasant, and the best ones leave a person forever changed... but hopefully... for the better."

Ohu offers his in return, shaking Halbjorn's hand firmly.

"If your favor is to ask me to make sure your story is always remembered and told... that is no favor, my friend. It is my duty, my honor... and my privilege. As long as Ohu lives, and likely for an eternity more, the stories of his exploits shall be told, and with them, the stories of those brave friends and allies he had by his side."
