Checking on the home team
Commander Fontaine, Deputy Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., made the rounds when the special ops team came back in. After their last disastrous outing, she wanted to make sure they were still in one cohesive piece. The reports had been favorable.

She hadn't met the newest member yet, though she knew the contents of his file. She'd been the one to have it sent to Sammy for consideration. Her little gun nut, and Walker and Dugan, could always use someone with the ability to build a better gun.

Sammy's report had been terse but informative. The others' a little more informative. Landon was next on her list.

"I wouldn't intrude on your family time because I invited myself along. I'll get a hotel room." She took out her cell phone to call the deputy director's office and ask Valentina's assistant to check the flights for an accommodation that would allow her to board with her gun. She had the carry permit as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and a carry concealed permit on a needs basis for all UN countries, but it was better to advise an airline ahead of time that she was legal for it.

The airlines really didn't like it when you held them up waiting for a faxed confirmation from Nick Fury's office. Neither did Nick Fury's office.

"I'll take you were you want to go and then let you visit. It's really no problem."

	"Actually, it would be good if you stayed. If you drop by and Gran finds out I didn't ask you to stay, I may as well find a room at the hotel myself. Gran wrote the book on 'Southern Hospitality'."
