Labor Day - Defenders
It was a perfect Southern California day. The sun was warm and bright and the water was nice and cool. Traditionally the large bbq pit would be fired up and food slow cooked over it all day, but today the Defenders went for something different. Two very large grills were carried down to the beach along with tables and all of the food. The Defenders' Labor Day celebration would be a beach party.

The volleyball net was strung up and the surf board were carried down. Two brand new jetskis were also purchased and taken down to the beach.

Massive amounts of food were prepared to satisfy godly appetites. A whole pig was set up over a pit and put on a spit, burgers, hot dogs, sausage, barbecued ribs, corn on the cob, pasta salad, salad and fruit salad were just some of the food available to eat. Soda, water, fruit juice and other beverages were on ice.

It was a day of rest and relaxations for those who put their lives on the line for others.

	Lots of meat, time on the beach - he's still not quite grasping the point of the holiday, much the same as almost every other holiday, but this is one of his favorites so far. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Dawn was dressed similarly to Grace (after having laughed to herself that it was only since her transformation that she considered herself having enough up top to pull the look off). Ribs, corn, and fruit salad currently took up space upon her plate, and later, she'd put the ol' magic to some use with some fireworks. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Eiltin was down that the beach to closely followed by Ruarc. He was dress normal for him which actually worked pretty well as beach attire. These holidays were very different from the ones in Avalon. For one thing there was no bonfire with most of them had. “It is quite good,” Eiltin said about the watermelon which he had had for the first time. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Marlow grinned at them all and helped herself to more of everything. Her appetites had definitely taken a turn in the ON direction. "Everything does smell so good," she said cheerfully to Eiltin. 	Sydney spent the morning helping Sarah prepare the food. She was glad when it came time to eat. She could sit back and enjoy herself. Maybe after she was done she would take one of the jetskis out. (Reply to this)(Thread)

"A hint? Hmm...okay. It has to do with my evil secret lair, which is disguised as a grotto about a mile from here. I will take you to my secret lair and do unspeakable things to you." he whispers to her.

"Of course, that's after lunch and watching Small Lady play in the sand and water, so you have time to formulate a cunning escape plan...if you dare." Avery says, hamming it up for hun.

	Marlow seized the chance to wear her new swimsuit. She didn't remember what they'd done for Labor Day last year, but she was enjoying every second of this one. She helped with the preparations as far as Sarah and Sydney would let her, ate and played in the water, and relaxed in the sun. She had ideas about sparklers for later for when the sun went down.
