News Broadcast: Attacks on Atlantis and Wakanda
Staggered and vague reports are coming that Dr. Doom has now followed his unprovoked aggression against neighboring Symkaria with attacks against Atlantis and Wakanda. As both of these nations are insular and isolated, these reports have been difficult to confirm, and no public announcements have been made by any of the governments involved. There are even rumors that the respective kings of Atlantis and Wakanda are missing in action.

Even though all the reported victims so far have been isolated or marginalized nations, the U.N. and various governments around the world are reported to be in an uproar trying to decide what action to take.

"Oh, there's definitely something wrong here. You need short range ground forces to occupy a neighboring country... long range, rapid assault capability deployment to attack a mid-African nation, and undersea assault deployment to hit Atlantis. The whole region around him will be on alert now, including a strong probability of the Winter Guard stepping in. Doom either has a trump card, or he wants to get attacked by someone."

"Hey, he's been kicking around awhile. He's probably planned this out and gone over it a million times with his Risk set. But you're right...we're not seeing something here. They say Doom's no slouch in the brains or brawn department.

He's already jumped his nearest neighbor, a country that's never been conquered and the king of the frickin' sea, who everyone knows will be on our assess because of his next summer." Melissa says, letting the situation play out in her mind and trying to follow it to a conclusion.

"So, far he's attacked countries with monarchies, right? Where do you think he'll hit next?" she asks.

"That's what I'm trying to figure out. Tactically, even for Doom, this makes no sense. Too many different weapons. Sure, he's hitting monarchies, but he's missing some... plus the government of those monarchies is at least as stable as half a dozen other more obtainable things to conquer. No... Doom wants something or someone. He's going to get a reaction out of Namor... which means the Avengers and Fantastics will be watching. Wakanda will go all xenophobic and on the defensive, other than the superhuman crowd. Attacking Symkaria will get a bunch of mercs going, and have Russia all on alert. Either Doom wants to try and provoke the Avengers or someone into an invasion, he wants something or someone specific... like the times he's stolen massive cosmic power or something... or he wants to wave his shiny metal cock around and prove he can attack anyone at a whim for some reason. If I /had/ to make a guess, the superhumans seem to be the link... I wonder... if he attacked Genosha, and got the Genoshans to make a counter strike... that close to Russia... hmm, the Russians would love an excuse to attack a weakened Magneto. If he's really trying to stir up war, that'd be one way to do it. Too many unknowns."
