When Out On the Lawn There Arose Such a Clatter
Christmas. Yule. Saturnalia. Dies Natalis Solis Invicti. Many cultures have celebrated and still celebrate a winter festival. There have been many names for it over the millennia. No matter the name it is a time to come together and celebrate with feasts and gifts with friends and loved ones.

Each culture has a legendary figure who would deliver gifts to children during this time. In Russia and some Slavic cultures he is known as Ded Moroz, Grandfather Frost, and comes not on Christmas but on New Year’s along with his granddaughter Snegurochka, or ‘”Snow Maiden”. In the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe he is known as Father Christmas. In the Netherlands and Belgium he is known as Saint Nicholas or “Sinterklaas” and in France he is known as Père Noël. In the United States we know him as Santa Claus.

No matter the name or who is delivering gifts, it is the season of peace, joy and togetherness. It is the season for thinking about loved ones, friends and those less fortunate. It is a time to witness the goodness and generosity the human race is capable of. It is a time for peace on Earth and goodwill toward man

The Avengers' Mansion was decorated and festive. Inside the Avengers celebrated Christmas Day. Outside there was a flash of light and six time and dimensionally displaced Avengers showed up.

He was joking...mostly. He wouldn't deny having an ego, but he did care about others. Especially family and those that were really special to him.

"I will always be here for you, Veronika. I will give up my cars before I even think about leaving you."

He kissed her. He was falling madly in love with her and it scared the hell out of him. Well before this point is would he would have left a girl, but Veronika was different. He didn't know why and he didn't want to know. He just wanted her.

	"Yes, I know. Amazing runs in your genes." Ronnie says, returning the kiss. She pulled him closer to her as the kiss deepened, losing herself in him more and more with each passing moment. Bobby smiled. "It does. Just ask my dad or either grandfather."

Bobby kissed her again. As much as he wanted to whisk her away from dealing with this and to be alone with her, but there was business to attend to.

"I know and as much as I want alone time with you right now, we have things to deal with. When this is all over, I will take you anywhere you want to go and we can be alone. I promise." A quick kiss. "But for now we have Kang business to deal with."

"I'm holding you to that Stark-Barton." Ronnie says, sighing.

"Bobby, do you think we can beat Kang? We're still not any closer to figuring out what he's doing to Solver and, not to be a down, but the Sentry could wipe the floor with the rest of us with one arm tied behind his back." she says.

"I was thinking that if I can get close enough to him...I may be able to shut his mind down and wipe it out completely. If his brain doesn't function, he can't guard Kang, right?" she asks, looking up to him hopefully.

"Maybe if I had a big enough distraction, I could give Solver and the others the time they need to get in there and stop Kang." she says.

Of course, she could also die /horribly/. She's not even sure her father and cousin Iason could handle the Sentry/Void/whatever he was.

Outside of Solver, though, she was the only other godlike being on the team and she wanted to help more than she had been. Right now, she wished she had any of her father's powers at all.

	His kiss makes her forget, for a moment, all about the anxiety and fear that she's feeling. The kiss ends too soon and Ronnie takes hold of his arm, giving him a small smile.
