The End of One Show Just Starts Another
Chris had always thought that the six day interval between Christmas and New Year's was the hardest section of days on the calendar to get anything done at all. However, this year on the 28th, she had something she damn sure wasn't going to miss. Pauline had invited her to come to one of her shows, and to go out afterward for sandwiches and whatever else.

For fun, and to make sure Pauline saw her there, she'd brought along a sign with a picture of a kitten with "I CAN HAZ!" pasted beneath it.

She couldn't help but grin as the band was introduced and brought out.

	"Score!" She can't help but paw through the pieces. "This was really thoughtful. Thanks." If it were further along in the date, Pauline would be getting a kiss, but Chris is still feeling things out. She smirks as she looks at her own handiwork. DJ is sweaty, shirtless and worn looking, but happy, just like every show. The shirt disappeared somewhere in the midst of 'Sects and Violence', tossed into the crowd, and he was 100 percent energy ever since, aside from somber songs like 'Shadow Lovers (of Hiroshima)', but even then, the intensity was clear. He loves his music, and is the sort that almost lets it possess him when he plays.

As soon as he has their attention, he flings a new 'N.I.C.H. Machinegun' t-shirt to Chris, autographed by all of the band but Pauline.

"Wow, La Blue Girl told me her date was hot, but I think she understated the case. You did good, Pauline."

Chris cocks an eyebrow. "You get a zero for taste on the nickname, but full marks for the assessment." She catches the t-shirt, looking it over with satisfaction. "Thanks for the band-swag."

She extends a hand to him. "Good work on the gig tonight. You were all in great form." She stands up straight, ready for the required once-over'ing of the girl cozying up to his friend and band-mate.

	DJ returns the hug to Pauline, then extends a hand back to Chris, duly giving her the once over. "It was a long set, and I still have six hours of club spinning to do. If you girls decide you have any energy left and want to dance, Pauline knows where the Clockwork Lounge is - I'll let the bouncer know she might come by so they have your names on the list." Chris smirks. "So what did you tell him about me? He didn't bother with any questions, and I don't think it was just because he was in a rush. If he was, he'd have probably put a shirt on first."

Not that he really needed to.

"In case you're wondering, I may have mentioned to a friend or two that I was sporting some truly righteous arm-candy, with a brain besides, for the Stark party." She winks at Pauline.

Some pleasantly agonizing perusal of the options later, and Chris has a heaping sandwich of roast beef, texas toast, and melted mozzarella and monterey jack, along with a side of fries.
