All's Fair in Love and Snowball Fights
There were certain traditions that were kept around the holidays and then there were traditions. The annual New Year's Day snowball fight was a long standing tradition at Xavier's Institude For Higher Learning. For the past six years the girls have won the fight, but this year the boys have a new player on their side and he's one that may tip the scales in their favor.

Dawn broke over the grounds and the sun climbed into the sky. It would be a warm bright day and perfect for a snowball fight.

At high noon the players on each side gathered on opposite ends of the grounds.

	Rufus didn’t particular feel like doing the snowball fight. Going out in the cold and snow didn’t sound all that fun to him and also brought up some really bad memories. He got himself a seat inside with a good view from a window of where most of the snowball fire was going to take place and took a seat to watch it. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Lulu, for some reason, did not join the snowball fight. She didn't have a problem with snowball fights in general, but for some reason, she was inside. With a tray of cocoa. A tray with two cups. Coming over to the window. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Misha was outside early that morning making snowballs. Leaving a warm bed with a warmer woman sleeping in it might be seen as crazy to some...many people, but warming up with her later in the shower after the snowball fight would make up for it. Besides, she would be on the other side gunning for him before too long.

He was already practicing his Leonidas quotes for the fight. "X-MEN, PREPARE FOR GLORY!"

	Torn Ear wasn't exactly clear on what a snowball fight was. He still wasn't exactly clear on what snow was for that matter. This was his first exposure to it, aside from very briefly last year. "So... this happens every year?" In addition to his fur, he had a pair of sweaters piled on, along with snow-pants, in a futile attempt to keep warm. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Every year," Misha confirmed. He tossed a snowball from hand to hand, peering over at the girls' fort. He wore a long sleeved thermal shirt and jeans with his boots. Before long he would be overheated from the exercise and burning up if he piled on the layers. "It's easy. You throw snowballs at the girls. /ALL/ the girls. As fast as you can. Don't try to seriously hurt them and hit things that'll damage, like Lyta's wings, but other than that, give 'em hell."

On the Girl's Side

It was Cait's all time favorite day of the year hands down. The girls had won the snowball fight for the past six years and they were going to make it seven years in a row.

Cait was out last night and had constructed the snow fortress that the girls would use as a base. The fort was large and Cait had even put a tower on each corner. Someone could stand up there and let loose a barrage of snowballs on the guys. Snowballs were of course were stacked everywhere for easy reach.

Cait stood on top the wall and waited.

	Anastasia was definitely glad that one thing that this universe and her own had in common was the snowball fight. She laughed as she worked on making some snowballs of her own.
