Happy Birthday Jack
Kalypso had been preparing for Jack's birthday so that when it got here she was ready. She had been up with the sun and went out to get the last few remaining items she would need for their lunch. The picnic basket was packed with food and a bottle of wine and ready to go. His gift, a small device of Eternal technology, that would capture images and then display them in a 3D holograph was wrapped and put with the basket.

Now all that she needed was the birthday boy.

	"Of course you wouldn't be kicked off the planet," she said. "You're not a threat." Kal led him through the city until they came to a vast public garden. Jack opened one and peered inside. A smile widened on his face. With his senses he was forced to eat lightly seasoned food, the blander the better. Additives colored the flavors for him as well. On one hand, he was able to enjoy the taste of real food. On the other, he didn't eat out much.

Kal had brought all his favorites, roast chicken, vegetable sticks, fresh bread, the raspberries and blackberries he loved, cold gazpacho soup and for dessert, a selection of cookies and cupcakes.

"This is fantastic. You were busy this morning."
