Newspapers flew about the living room then burst into angry blue flames, any loose objects in the room seemed to rattle, and Martin was looking at the TV like it was going to be his next victim. Too bad it was a wall mounted one.

He hadn't seen Dr. Strange in a while. That wasn't too odd in itself, after all he did often have things to do that took time, but it'd been longer than usual and even Wong hadn't heard anything. Up until this point, Martin had only been worried because it'd been so long and Dr. Strange had promised to teach him certain spells as a birthday present. But his birthday had come and gone and no Dr. Strange was around. So Martin had been spending his time at the HQ feeling a little dejected.

Of course, that was until he saw the news.

Liars! They were nothing but LIARS!!

Dr. Strange was The Greatest! He was Sorcerer Supreme! Did people not know what that meant?! He'd never ever do the stuff they were claiming. Never! How dare these people talk nonsense and slander about his mentor? How DARE they?!

Martin stomps off to the training room to unleash a little.

	Martin shrugged. Her loss. "Why do you speak with the fake-sounding accent?" He says it in a way that's clear he's not being hostile, just genuine innocent curiosity at work here. He didn't know much about the new lady. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Adrienne was about to protest that her accent was not fake sounding, but against Martin's innocent curiosity, it was hard to put up any facade.

"Zat... or rather that," she amended, "is a good question."

A small smile. "It is theatrics, mostly. A distraction. People hear the accent, and they thing, "this girl is silly. She cannot be a threat." And then I show them they are wrong. Or rob them blind, without them ever suspecting a thing."

Martin tilts his head and listens curiously. Though he may seem excitable and not all that mature most of the time, he was a bright kid. That fact spoke for itself when one considered he'd only had magic for a few years.

"Ah. I understand then," he said with a small smile then seemed to mouth something in Latin before continuing. "It's always fun to surprise people, especially when they forget what you're capable of." As he speaks that next part his body seems to fade and become more translucent until by the end of his sentence he's invisible to her. Though his voice can still be heard as if he's right there.

	The disc he's sitting on goes invisible too and the sound of Martin snickering moves. "It's useful," he says. She'll feel what seems like a shoe rest on her shoulder gently and her body soon begins to fade too, until she's also invisible. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Invisible Martin puffs up with pride. "That's because I am!" The shoe moves and Adrienne is visible once more, as is Martin now. She'll find him sitting on his magic disc, feet swinging off the side, directly above her. "Any requests? I can try to do them." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"If I put a rabbit in my hat I could," he says while pulling a giant spellbook from the hat. "I once turned an enemy into a guinea pig. That's close. Rabbit would be a bit harder and I'm not very good at transmutations. They're hard, and need a lot of control. I can do a butterfly if you want."

He doesn't wait for her answer and finds a bit of debris and floats over there. Preparatory wiggle and stretch of the fingers while he reads over a page in his spell book and then Martin starts the incantation. The piece of debris rises, glows blue, begins to shake and twitch before it seems to crumple into itself and a blue butterfly flaps its wings to get out of there.

"It worked!" Granted, that was easier than the guinea pig spell but he wasn't very good at these sorts of things to begin with.
