Survival
Etoile's world has been thrown into a loop, the days she had suddenly appeared at the front gate of Xavier's. She was sent here, not only to escape from being caught, but to gain more help from Xavier. Also, she wanted to lead a decent semi-normal life as a young mutant. University, building friendships, possibly love? Mainly, she wanted to be a part of the X-Men team. Both her parents were part of them for years, she felt the need to follow along.

However, she knew her main purpose for coming to Xavier's, was to locate her missing family. She needed to establish a connection with Xavier and hopefully her fellow teammates would be able to help her (eventually). Right now, this is her doing her own intel on the information given to her by Xavier.

Etoile informed Xavier about her sudden leave from the mansion for awhile. She couldn't sit back and let her parents disappearance be placed on the back burner any longer. She felt confident enough to go out on her own in search for them. Her first stop? New Orleans.

Etoile didn't realize she would be facing some minor problems upon arriving in New Orleans, her father's past which equaled out to be a heap of danger. Etoile is suddenly faced with being attacked by the Thieves' and Assassins Guild after her...right now Etoile is trying to stay alive and survive her hellish visit to New Orleans. Etoile new about them, but to what extent? Not a lot, her father disliked talking about his past and did his best to keep his children out of it. Might have been the wrong idea currently, what he did was what any father would have done. Right now she is on the run...wounded and trying to escape on foot is not a smart idea. God, she could use some help right about now...

	Etoile would finally snap out of her daze as soon as he speaks up."Huh? Oh...hm." she starts to slowly bind and flex her muscles on her arm. Etoile blinked at him. Is he just teasing her now? Or is he actually serious? This is something she had a hard time discerning with people.

"Umm..." she thought about it a bit. She didn't feel like she had more injuries."You know...uh, if your wanting to kiss me again you can. You don't need to find a reason." she responded back honestly."Unless you need/want a reason." she said with slightly pursed lips.

	Etoile gave off a question like expression. What is he going to say next to shock her? Hot Cajun chick? This is a first for her. She felt more like crazy Cajun chick for what she had said earlier on. Etoile gasps sharply before he kissed her once again. Her cheeks instantly blush a bright red. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

She wasn't even sure where this was going...all she knew is she enjoyed kissing him. Who knew that kissing could be so addicting. Many thoughts were racing through her mind currently.

Thoughts such as Oh my god what are you doing?, he's a good kisser, what do I do next?!, or I wonder if my breath is bad?.

As much as she didn't want to, she had to break the kiss reluctantly. Catching her breath, she rests her forehead against his own."Umm...I'm not sure what comes next to be honest. Kissing is a whole new world for me." she admitted. He probably thinks she's lame right now.

She figured he would. With a nod of her head, and the overwhelming feeling of embarrassment kicked in."Yes..seriously. I've been kissed once. It was barely a kiss. More of a quick, soft, friendship one. Annnd it happened to be under that god awful mistletoe. I swear it's the devils tool.." she turns around, trying to hide the embarrassment in her face.

"What do you mean?...wait." She would have narrowed her eyes at him, she couldn't even look at him currently."Just because my father had the 'Cajun charm', doesn't mean we all have it. I was the sheltered one and Etienne is the charmer in the pants." And it was true, her brother was.

"I don't think you are...regardless of the Rider. You need to stop being hard on yourself, Nick." Who to be in the mind of Etoile. She always seen the best in people, when they seen the worst.

She lays back on the bed, placing her hands over her face."I blame this on my father. He made me all..fluffy and unaware of life."

He lays down beside her, resting a hand on her stomach once he shifts up onto his side next to her.

"I mean, your father was a hellraiser in his time and way. You don't need his kind of charm, just gets you in trouble. Besides, you have plenty of charm of your own. And - the Rider is part of me. Like it or not, its a package deal. And when the ride is over, I'm still going to hell."

She flinches a little when he moves to lay down next to her. Also with the hand resting on her stomach.

"Yeah he was. Surprised he actually wanted to settle down and marry...let alone have children. My mother wasn't an easy woman to catch apparently. My father made it his mission to win her over." She smiled a little."I have charm? I don't think I have charm...what makes you even think I do?" she asked curiously.

"I know the Rider is. Fully aware of that." Etoile scrunched up her nose at the last part."No. I don't believe you'll be going to hell." She turns over to her side, reaching over to rest both her hands on his face."I won't allow it!" she knows she's talking big. Etoile would do everything in her power to save someone. If she could, she would go to hell just to save him, if possible. She isn't sure why she feels this strongly for someone like him, deep down she had this urge to save him from himself.

He chuckles. "I know you have charm. I certainly wanted to kiss you. As for hell, thanks, but its already settled. Mephisto has my soul. Always has. And put the demon in its place. The demon is only part of the Rider though. Part of it is me. Trust me, Johnny Blaze spent a long time thinking he could be saved too. I know how the story ends. I'm just trying to make sure the ride in the meanwhile has enough highlights to be worth it."

She sighed...it was hard hearing stuff like this. It amazed her that he was okay with it all. He wasn't even flinching, nor did he care. It was inevitable, no way of getting out...sealed deal. You name it, he was ready for it.

"Let a girl, wish, okay? It's not every day I have a boy wanting to save me, or kiss me. Or even want to have a conversation with me." she went silent for little bit. She looked at him, trying to see if there was any glimmer of hope, it was hard to even see it. He had a perfect mask on towards his feelings from what she gathered. Calm as can be.

She lays back on her back, her one hand takes a hold of his, squeezing it a bit."So, I guess you find it pointless live a normal life?" she asked."And have you find enough highlights to make it worth it?"

Definitely a mask. And a good one. Not so much being ok with it as having accepted the inevitable long enough ago to be able to deal. He'll never be ready for the place he sees in his dreams. The dreams... which are the real reason he always has the bottle, and wakes up with hangovers. They beat not sleeping.

"I don't think a normal life is possible. I help out the team, run my garage some days for a little cash on the side. Enough to cover my bad habits and road trips.

Bet you're wrong though. Bet there's plenty of guys who'd like to kiss you. You just don't know it."

If I were you, I'd do anything and everything to make it normal until I had go...there." she couldn't even say hell, it freaked her out."It would be nice to have it normal...come home to someone, share a live with..adventures. I picked a not so normal life and you were born into not so normal life." she turns her head to look at him.

"No. There isn't. He only kissed me because there was mistletoe. Besides...I recently found out he had a girlfriend. He was just being nice...in a weird way. I think guys find me to be weird and not all there. What I lack, I make up for it in missions or fighting. I know I'm good at something."

Etoile smiled lightly at his words. She only wished he could give himself those kind of reassuring words. It would be hard to even do that with someone such as a Rider living within him and that other guy, who apparently owns the rights to the Rider and Nick's soul.

She remained silent for a little, still holding onto his hand tightly. Almost fearing the fact he might be suddenly dragged of to hell. She feared for him, she felt the need to cry for him...without realizing she did exactly that. Tears streamed down her face, she tried to control the sobbing sounds, that wouldn't be happening.."S.."hiccuped in mid word." s-sorry."
