New Years
The beginning of a New Year, a time for new hopes, new experiences to come. A time to reflect on times past, remembering fond memories happily and trying to put less pleasant thoughts and experiences in the past.

It is a time of renewal, a time of rebirth. And for much of the world, it is a time of celebration. This is no less true for the super hero set as anyone else. If anything, they just have that much bigger of things to look forward to.

Kal smiled. "Hold on," she told him. This was going to be unpleasant, but worth it because it was for Jack. A moment later they were atop the Eiffel Tower.

He held onto Kal when they appeared on the tower to give her support, snuggling her into his body as he took in the view. Hours after the city's celebrations and the lights were still beautiful.

Kal staggered a bit from the pain coursing through her body. Teleporting never got easier or any more pleasant. Thank goodness Jack was there. Kal leaned into him.

"Too slow," Kal said as she took a few deep breaths. The pain was fading and she'd be okay after a few moments.
