Keeping Traditions
There were traditions around the holidays and then there were traditions. One such tradition on New Year's Day was a snowball fight at Xavier's Institute For Higher Learning. Each New Year's Day the students and faculty gathered on the front lawn and participated in a snowball fight. Snow was never a problem with the resident weather goddess and in later years hydrokinetics.

A fresh blanket of snow covered the ground thanks to Mother Nature.

High noon struck and the snowball fight was officially under way.

	Chris wasn't exactly the most dextrous when fully transformed, and made quite a target, but it's not like anyone got eliminated anyway. And that's why a gigantic paw scoops up an equally large mass of snow and flings it across the grounds, rather than throwing anything one at a time. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Cait called up some snow under her and lifted up so she could see over the two walls. She smiled and didn't even bother with snowballs this time. A wave of snow built up on the guys side, behind the wall, and started rushing toward the boys. She caught Corey's dirt and snowball in the air with her powers and sent it toward Misha. 	"Ooof." The snowball made contact with Lyta's arm, just enough for her to change her flight path. Flying down to quickly make another set of snowballs, before launching up into the air again. She threw a couple at Gabriel, and then lobbed some Corey and Misha. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Cait watched Misha run at her and tilted her head. This was amusing. Very. She flicked her wrist and two hands formed out of the snow and grabbed him. "Nice try Mr. Romanov!" she yelled and then pelted him with a good sized snowball. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Agile and perceptive, Gabriel landed on the ground before taking cover behind his wings. Snow pressed against the pearly white feathers, but he himself remained untouched.

And when he parted his wings (forcefully, to throw off the snow), he had a snowball coming at Chris and another coming at Lyta. And then there was one he held on to as he lifted himself back into the air.

	Cait let the snow hands collapse and while she was concentrating on Misha, a snowball pelted her. She looked around to see who threw it, but was unsuccessful. Ten snowballs formed and went flying toward the boys. (Reply to this)(Parent)
