Testing the Waters

Hadelinde wasn't one to rush headfirst into things. She liked to know as much as she could about an opponent before she made her move. The Avengers were well known, but the Young Avengers were not. Sure she had files on them and she knew what abilities they had, but she didn't know how they functioned as a team. A person could toss together a team of the most powerful individuals on the planet and it didn't mean they would always win. Teamwork was important, the Avengers had proved this many times, but Hadelinde had no idea how the Young Avengers worked as a team. She had to know how they worked if she was going to defeat them.

Perhaps it was time to test the waters and see what the young hero-wannabes were capable of.

She called on the triplets, Enforcer and Frenzy for this job, using only a portion of her forces. She wasn't going to show her entire hand to the Avengers. Not yet anyway.

Once the plan was in place, she had Jeremy teleport them to right outside of the Avengers' Mansion.

Iason is, as usual, reading. Right now its poly-sci work, trying to understand the history of Russian and American interaction, contradictory as it sometimes was, with a dozen other reference books to try and glean some insight into the context of events.
An odd noise startles him out of his studies before the alarms start, and a check through the nearest open window reveals unfamiliar smells. He checks over the coms with whoever is on monitor duty.

"Are you expecting visitors? There's people in the back yard. Not sure how many, at least three."

	"We have any info on them?" Iason coms back, coming in from above and strafing the area around the intruders with energy blasts. 	Karin rapidly sunk in the air as she went intangible, but she didn't avoid it completely and was surprised to find her left hand entangled or at least effected by the psionic webs. It was confusing. 	Rachel did not have the much-vaunted "spider-sense" that certain other arachnid crimefighters did, but when someone was shooting energy blasts at you, you didn't really need it. 	Hadelinde hovered in the air above the place and fired at random targets. When the tide of the battle seemed to be turning in the Avengers' favor, she ordered her people to retreat. They all had teleportation devices and should be able to just teleport out. (Reply to this)
