Heaven's Wherever You Are (Sat 10th)
Kalypso's own birthday had become meaningless to her as she would see way too many, but it didn't mean that others birthdays weren't important to her. Jack's birthday had come and Kal had to do something special for him. It had taken some time to come up with something, but Kal had managed.

She thought about the Blue Area of the Moon and nice picnic, but that had already been done. While it had been an extremely good time, Kal wanted something different. The idea came to her during a visit to Olympia. The city was still being rebuilt after the Deviants' attack, but the gardens managed to remain untouched. The gardens were the perfect spot for a birthday celebration and wouldn't overwhelm Jack's senses too much.

Kal had gone to a few of Jack's favorite restaurants and got some of his favorite foods. With heightened senses, Jack's taste tended to run on the not-spicy or heavily flavored foods. Kal was the opposite and loved foods that were flavored with many herbs and spices. Somehow they always managed to find places to eat that accommodated both of their likes.

Food. Check. Wine. Check. Water. Check. Blanket check. Change of clothes for both of them. Check. Kal now had quarters in Olympia and she didn't plan on the two of them coming back after their picnic. There was no rush to come back. Birthday gifts. Check. It looked like everything was ready to go. She packed the food items into the picnic basket and packed the presents and blanket into a tote. Now it was time to get the birthday boy.

Kal left via window and flew over to Jack's place.

Jack was still in bed. He'd stayed up later than usual working on a set of plans for another playground. This time he was taking it out of the ordinary jungle gyms and swings to make it more modular and interactive.

A knock on the window had him rolling over to look from under the pillow. Blinking, he waited for things to come into focus and saw Kal on the fire escape. A sleepy smile crossed his face. His girlfriend had a key to his apartment and she still preferred to fly to his fire escape and come in through the window. It was kind of sexy.

He rolled to his side and crooked a finger at her. "Come join me."

	Kal smiled and opened the window. She climbed in, careful not to drop the basket and tote. She set them on a nearby chair and then climbed in the bed next to him. There was a nice long kiss for a greeting. "Hello, love. Happy birthday." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He snuggled his face into her hair and inhaled. He counted himself lucky his girlfriend took his senses into account when she chose shampoos and soaps to use. He put his arms around her and held her closer in the warm water that smelled like Kalypso and faint hint of something he associated with fresh air. "We'll go to the shore, or into the mountains.
