What do you do when you have a VERY over protective father?

He likely seeks merely to protect you. You should obey.

Daddy's idea of protecting me would be locking me in a room for the rest of my life.

Daughters should listen to their fathers.

What if their father is wrong?

He is still her father.

He's still wrong.

Have some yams handy.

What do yams have to do with over protective fathers?

Trust me on this.

I'm still not getting how yams come into this.

You'd be amazed what you can do with yams.

Do what I do. Just roll your eyes and pretend to listen. Half of the time it's over something that's not that big of a deal.

I will have to try that, but I doubt it would work.

It's effective about ninety-five percent of the time.

I'm definitely going to have to try that.

For any girl with an overprotective father, I highly recomend it.

Cornelius Drake. Corey. Our Cait is Caitlyn. Definitely don't have the dad problem in common, though. Would there be a chance for certain times to really work at accomodating his feelings so you can go out and cut loose other times? It works with cranky grandfathers, at least.

The only thing that would make Daddy happy is me staying in Atlantis and not having a boyfriend.

Well my old man was never that bad.

I guess the best thing to do is let him know you need to stand on your own sometimes.

You could say that. He's also very stubborn.

If locking you in your room is the least he can do, consider yourself lucky.

He could send you into an alternate dimension to 'save your life'...right after he tells you how much he loves you.
