Meeting for the first time
Discovering she was in another world was the easy part. Finding out where she had a chance of getting some help had been the hard part. She took her time before making a choice.

She left to go to San Fransisco. It was strange not seeing the sights she knew upon entering the bay. It took her some time before she gathered the nerves to go to the island that had the tower.

Finally she gets up the nerve. She gets out of the water and starts walking. Right up to the front door and looks around wondering if this place has a door bell.

She gives up and knocks and waits. She is still nervous as hell. She didn't know what to expect.

	Asherah bites her lip. "I'm looking for Cait Curry. I think she's the only person that can help me. I found out by um. Doing some listening that she would be here with the Teen Titans." She brightens then is taken back for a moment. Cait really does look so much like Daddy. Like Mama too. It's all in the face.

"Well. You see I'm stuck here. I fell through an inter-dimensional rip outside of Atlantis. My Atlantis was being attacked by some sort of strange creature. It was destroying parts of the city. So. I was helping. I'm a mage you see. But I must have upset it. It tossed me through a portal." She lets out a breath of it. She said that way too quickly.

But she has to trust Cait. Cait is family. It is kind of neat to think she might have a big sister even if this isn't the right universe.

Cait blinked and was surprised. She pulled back a bit. "Oh. I see. Well you're not the first extra-dimensional person to show up, so at least we have a little bit of experience with dealing with this." There had been Tim, but he hadn't stayed that long.

Cait reached out with her mind and touched the other girl's. If she were Atlantean Cait would be able to make a connection and determine if she were telling the truth. Their minds connected and Cait could see the girl's surface thoughts. She saw the events as the girl had experienced them.

She was an Atlantean and was telling the truth.

"I guess you better come in. We can talk. I didn't catch your name."

"I had hoped you would. I miss home. That may have been Atlantis.... but it wasn't home," Asherah says shaking her head slowly. It wasn't right.

Ash looks up letting her eyes meet Cait's. She wouldn't lie and was glad Cait knew she was telling the truth.

"Asherah Curry." She makes a nervous sound from the back of her throat. "We can confirm that however you wish. I will follow your lead. This is your world after all, Princess."

	She wrinkles her nose. "I can't picture Daddy with anyone else. Mom is you know, perfect for him." She tilts her head. "I'm not sure I get it. I love Atlantis. The politics sometimes stink but that's normal. Um. You can call me Ash then, Cait. If we're not being formal that is. Asherah is a mouthful." She can ramble a bit. 	"Atlantis is a long story," Cait said. Saying Atlantean politics stink was like saying water was wet. "Right now a guy named Ataam is in charge and Arthur is missing." 	She nods then stands up straight. "Then. If you need me I'll help you." Ash knew it was the least she could do. It was Daddy. She didn't quite understand why Cait called Daddy Arthur. She feels a small bubble of joy. Cait doesn't seem to mind her. Though this is still really weird.

"Do you think she'll mind? I'm no really hers. I'm just a child from a different reality. I don't wish to make waves," Ash asks carefully obviously wanting to test the waters. "Will your team mates mind me? I can pull my weight if need be. Though, I still have much to learn about magic."

"I think that's great," Ash chimes looking pleased for Cait. "Daddy.... Arthur. He doesn't really let me talk to boys. He and Mom are really over protective of me. They just barely let me out of the palace."

So being so far away from Atlantis is kind of a big deal for her. It's weird not having people around or being in her home. Not actually scary though. Just very strange. But it is made easier by knowing she has a place to stay and new people to meet. They might even treat her like a normal girl, which would be nice.

"Really?" She sighs and shakes her head. "I hoped not. It would have been nice if Daddy liked your boyfriend. Because if I get stuck for good it would be.....nice to act normal now and then. Since I'm younger than you. Did Ty handle himself well? I kind of expect it to be Daddy who would be the one to get grumpy and up in arms. It's because he cares and is afraid to loose us I think."

She blushes slightly. "Sorry. I ramble sometimes. At least I'm not stammering. I do that sometimes. When I'm nervous."

"That couldn't have been good," Ash mutters softly. That sounded so much like Daddy.

Ash nods fighting back a yawn as fatigue finally hits her. "I think I'm a little tired anyways. I haven't slept since I ended up here."

Then she blinks up at Cait and has to chuckle at the sudden mental image that strikes her. "You're taller than me. I think I'll feel like I'm swimming in anything I borrow. But thank you Cait. For everything."

	She has no idea if a dry bed would be actually comfortable. She isn't really used to being dry but either way all she wants is to curl up and sleep. She covers her mouth briefly and fights back a yawn. "I'll probably just get some sleep." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Which would be an interesting topic to bring up. Asherah was just focused on the idea of getting her footwear off and laying down. She knew in the back of her head that Mera would be told about her. She just wasn't fully consciously aware that it would be so soon. She was though aware she was following after Cait. That was helpful. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

She had slept. For the first time since getting to this world that felt different. Now she was awake. She found her head hurt from not being able to sleep for long enough. So she sat up and rubbed her head. Then she decided to get up.

She wanted to do something. She just didn't know what. Which is when her stomach decided for her. There was a loud grumble and she winced at the ache in her stomach from being so hungry on such short notice. That's what brought her to the kitchen.

She quickly figured out none of this looked familiar to her. It was largely surface dweller food. "This is going to take some getting used to."

	She didn't expect that. She turns and wonders if she should pinch herself. It's her mother. Only not. She doesn't remember those worry lines. She thinks her parents in her world must look like that right now. This is still very strange. "Did Cait speak to you yet," she asks trying to not sound nervous but failing. 	Oh good. That saved her from the urge to hide behind something and slink off. She has always been a little shy. "Thank you." She finds something that looks like he can eat it.
