Sleepless with Fear in Seattle
Dr. Stephen Strange, Sorcerer Supreme of Earth, hovered over Seattle in his astral projection form. Earlier, he'd seeded the city with very special Darkhold invitations, directed to those who would be easiest to turn to his will. There would be no exchange of innermost desire for a soul-destroying payment. Those who accepted would be his to twist and he intended to twist every drop of humanity from them to use in his spells to open the doorways for demons to enter the world.

The first screams were sweet. The next were savored.

Monsters were alive and devouring Seattle.

Tyler had been out to eat when things got hairy. He had just finished using the restaurant's bathroom when a houndlike demon burst through the door and attacked him. The thing slashed and clawed at him until Tyler managed to get his hands around its neck, and using his inhuman strength, broke it. Tyler got to his feet and went out...

"Sweet Mother of God," he gasped as he noted several more of the little bastards. He quickly called the bar for anyone who would pick up. "We have a big problem."

	Greg was sitting the piano in his bar when a demon burst through the door and started to grab the patrons. Greg stopped playing and stood up. "Begone!" he yelled at the demon. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	It's hard to tell but the demon looks rather amused at Greg's order. Its tail slides over and solidifies briefly to toss a table at him. Want me gone? Make me leave then, he seems to be saying. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Not everyone is affected the same by the surge in demonic energy. Jo had doubled over just moments before the demon entered the bar, and as she rises, her skin is already turning white. And she is angry. Just as the demon can throw it's own table, another one is thrown at it with a shout of rage. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The demon just remains at the entrance as the table goes right through it. That stunt only makes it more amused. It spreads its wings and dives towards Greg, destroying the lights in the bar as it goes. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"You... get OUT!" Jo snatches up her violin and draws the bow across the strings with an evil hiss. A volley of blasts that seem to rip and claw at the air hurtle towards the demon as she plays. 	Mmmm...the smell of cooking meat! The zombies, now on fire, continued to menace the elderly couple, but a few at the back turned toward Rita. More meat they wouldn't have to share! They began lumbering in her direction. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Faces begin to melt into Lon Chaney-style masks as they hovered just out of sword range around Rita. Their tasty meal had a sharp object and they were hungry. Soon one or two would edge forward. 	Bram had helped out with dealing with a Jiang Shi incursion into the west coast earlier that week. He had been doing some relaxing up in Seattle when things went crazy. Whatever was going on was definitely serious business and he intended to figure out what it was. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Bram didn't expect the bullets to do to much damage but slow them down till he came up with a better plan. And seeing a fire hydrant one was coming together. Dropping a small plastic explosive from his jacket next to it he kept running waiting for the Hellhounds to get next to the hydrant before setting over his explosive. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The explosive went off and one hellhound was caught in the blast. Water shot up into the air and started falling toward the ground. There was steam and hissing when the water came into contact with the hellhounds. They kept going after Bram. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	While they put a dent in the zombies, it wasn't going to be enough to stop them. They had to stop the source. So reluctantly they had to retreat and follow the signal Rita found in order to stop the source. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Jo has powered down slightly, and is getting enough of her own mind back to wonder what the hell was happening to her back in the bar, but she's ultimately focused on keeping up with Greg. He's gone off the chain (dog joke not intended), and someone needs to be around to make sure he doesn't hurt anyone. And where the heck did all these zombies come from?!
