Fluff meme: Cooking is a science!
Cooking she could do, other people putting in all that effort and cooking for her? She couldn't do. Which was exactly why when Aleks proposed this dinner thing she'd already planned on coming early to help the moment she agreed.

Well, okay, she'd avoid having to cut any onions but she was still handy in the kitchen. Besides, regardless of what people said, cooking was a science. And she was a scientist.

"Hi. Now I know the fact I brought wine may be odd, considering I don't drink it, but I do own some. Fine, I use it only for cooking, but still. Classic guest-gift and it works with the whole cooking dinner thing you've got going," she rambles once he opens the door. Lena would admit to some slight nervousness. Not willingly, but still it had to count for something.

"Out of non-scientific curiousity...what's that like? The anger-management Hulk-outs I mean." She never asked at work, psychology was an interest, not her job. And as far as her job went, the psychology of these hulk-outs wasn't relevant except for diagnosing symptoms using related brain activity . But she wanted to know how it affected him as a person, not an agent.

"Depends a lot on whether its gradual build-up, or because of absorbing too much radiation at once, so it hits all at the same time. The slow way, just... hard to notice at first. More irritability, easily frustrated, too much energy at first. When it gets bad, its like having a totally different person in my head, doing a lot of the driving. I'm sort of aware, but not in control, and its all kind of hazy."

She doesn't even make an attempt to hide the slightly mischievous grin that forms. "Hmm, you see Aleks, you shouldn't have told me that. I don't let people skip their birthdays. Resistance is futile as they say," she smirks. Josh had resisted and had gotten interns singing him happy birthday as a result. Of course, she usually skipped over her own birthday, and while yes, it was hypocritical, she could care less. Other people's birthdays were more fun.
