13. Crazy Weekend [21 Apr 2008|08:32am]
[ mood | curious ]
[ music | "The Power of Good-Bye" by Madonna ]

I'm not sure whether to call it a good crazy or bad or in-between. Those who live in the Illinois area, you should know we had a strong tremor Thursday morning at around 4:30. God, that sucked! My entire life and I never experienced an earthquake. How did everyone fare?

Anyway, now I'm onto a book rant, a good one. The past few days, I've been expanding my book history. As you know, earlier in the year, I've been reading the "His Dark Material" series ("Golden Compass," "Subtle Knife," and "Amber Spyglass"). That took me quite a few weeks to finish up. At least I'll know what happens if the other two books are made into movies. Recently, I've read the book "Stardust" by Neil Gaiman. If anyone's familiar with the movie with Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert DiNero, and Claire Danes, disregard everything you saw in that movie. The book has a better telling. I can tell why they did what they did in the movie, but come on. And now, my latest book, "The Kingdom Keepers" by Ridley Pearson. Has anyone been to the Magic Kingdom in Florida? If you had, you'll enjoy this book. It's a thriller book in which five kids are chosen to enter the park during night after they sleep. I'm not saying too much, but I have to say when they introduced the main villain of the book I reread that part cause it was cool that he put that person in. Don't think of it as a kiddie book either, this book contains blood and creepy dolls coming to life and coming after you and - whoa, don't spoil it.

Okay, and now to end this post. No one else felt it, I bet, but we had another tremor at 12:30 this morning. I know I'll be fine when those come, but it's getting to the point where I can't sleep anymore. What's weird is, and I'm not joking, I feel them happen even before they occur. Okay, I'll stop now and let you guys continue your lives.<hr>This post's Major Arcana:

In case something really REALLY bad happens to me, or to any of you guys in the IL area, I just want to let you all know, I love you guys very VERY much! You guys have been great over the years for reading my crap on GJ (if you had) and possibly attempting to read my stories. If we do survive, I still mean what I say.

11. I'm Back [07 Apr 2008|09:03am]

I'm sorry for not being a no show in the last... God knows how long. A lot of things have came up. Too many things.

1. Trying to find a job with help from someone from ERC. It's going okay.
2. Trying to write the cross-over project of my fic between "Freiheit" and "Dämmerung." Haven't even started.
3. Plotting for a special "thank you" project for the fans of my fic by preparing another project that explains the full origin of Morgan's character, Mahna Pendragon, and what truly happened in her first mission.

Other than that, nothing really happened lately except for Johnny and Kathlyn getting married on March 8th. Don't know if I mentioned that. Yeah, I did. Nevermind. I've also been playing the hell out of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Persona 2, and even watching the live action Sailor Moon show, which is not so bad as I thought. The girl they got to play Sailor Mercury is a hottie, in my opinion. Sucks no one knows where she is currently. When I have something more interesting to say, I'll write more. Until then, guys.

10. I fuckin' hate our government.... [14 Mar 2008|09:42am]

....or at least the DCFS branch! My God, I want to know who the fuck made another call to those pricks and try to accuse Greg of attacking Aislinn!!! He had never attacked her! Never laid a finger on her! Greg likes Aislinn as much as I like Colin, he would never purposely hurt her! That guy came here to this library to ask me about this "incident," and I was about to call him nuts! I know he's doing his job, but those people make my blood boil to the point of volcanic eruption! Leave my family alone! If there's something wrong, WE'LL handle it! So back off!

Okay, I'm done... Sorry for wasting your guys' time.

The Wheel of Fortune
Positive: The Wheel of Fortune represents chance, fate, and inevitability. It represents the ups and downs of life but more importantly it represents that there is a time for everything. Usually the Wheel of Fortune can be divided into four parts representing the four seasons of the natural universe. Spring, a time for new beginnings; Summer, a time for growth and bloom; Autumn, a time for reflection and maturation; and Winter, a time for rest and releasing. When a new endeavor is started the wheel begins anew and one can be assured they will go through all of the aspects the wheel has to offer. The Wheel offers everyone success and eventual release, but it is the acceptance of change the wheel offers that most find hard to accept. While the wheel always offers us another chance to make things right, there comes a time when one must let go. While outwardly the wheel offers chance or even luck, it also offers faith in that it guarantees that things will eventually change for the better.

Negative: When this card is reversed it means refusal of change, loss of hope, dwelling on the negative aspects of a situation. Frustration, being stubborn, and holding on too tightly to the material world around us.

09. Yay, wedding [10 Mar 2008|08:07am]

The wedding went off great!! It was so nice there! Morgan managed to make it, but I wasn't able to tell her it was an outdoor wedding (our phone's not working). Lots of pictures were taken, yay! Can't wait to post those when I gets the chance. Although, I wasn't pleased to see stalker-boy, Sean, there. How he found out, I don't know. It pissed me off seeing him there, as well as everyone else. After the ceremony and the kiss, Johnny's uncle Frank did a "rice tossing" thing, except this time it was a snow tossing thing. Frank always was the guy to get a smile on people's faces. Colin and the other little ones finally got to meet Johnny's family after hearing so much about them for so long. Heck, Colin even managed to high five Shelbie. Unfortunately, they couldn't come with us to the reception, cause Greg had to go the doctor (he'd been sick for a while, but wanted to attend this thing). Afterward, we went to Diamond's, some buffet place, where I was chosen to be the best man for the marriage license. The original best man, Rick, took off after the ceremony. I was going to have that position originally, but the whole obligation of choosing family over friends was in effect. So I was best man, and Will was chosen for Maid of Honor when Amy was no where to be seen. Instead, Aaron says "Will, you're MADE of honor," for the save. Luckily, Sean didn't show up to the reception. And a lot people said if Pickett (the minister) called for objections, and Sean said anything, we'd kill him on the spot. Kathlyn's family wasn't so bad, except for her sister. Everytime Johnny and Kathlyn tried to do anything romantic or goofy, she'd bitch up a storm! Joy and Morgan were about to jump her ass if she didn't shut the hell up. As for gifts and such, Johnny and Kathlyn got a pasta pot, some glasses, towels, dinner trays, and cards from Elaine and Morgan. Kathlyn loved their cards the most, and probably looked like she was about to cry. Elaine couldn't make it because of work. Bastards. Aside from the bride and groom, Morgan became the talk of the party because of the dress she wore. She was probably the only one there who actually wore a dress. Besides the sister and Sean, everyone had a good time. I'm so happy for Johnny and Kathlyn, and hope they have a long and prosperous marriage.

The Hermit
Positive: The Hermit represents the need to slow down and absorb more of a peaceful and quite life. The Hermit finds his knowledge and wisdom through exploration of the self rather then the physical world around him. The Hermit separates himself from the more superficial aspects of life in order to find true self-awareness. The Hermit does not just experience life but he uses that experience to understand why things are the way they are. The Hermit is about learning of the self and the motivations behind his own personal actions and thinking. The Hermit represents a more meditative state of mind, one in which focus of ones purpose is of central importance. The Hermit is more self-centered so he can become more aware of any negative patterns or cycles he is repeating in hopes of alleviating them for the good of everyone.

Negative: When this card is reversed is represents being overly stagnant and a refusal to accept change. A person who refuses to look beyond the past, address their present situations, or anticipate a better future.

08. Stuff and wuff [07 Mar 2008|08:27am]

Okay, I'll start off with what happened last week, since I know I forgot to say how the Todd dinner went. It went pretty well, actually. Got a lot of people to come. We talked about our favorite Todd moments, even though we said that Halloween was not a choice, since I knew everyone would choose that. We went bowling afterwards. Although, when it was all done, it struck us hard that Todd was not with us. God did it suck.

Anyway, I got to go on a date recently with one of Kathlyn's friends, Melissa. She recently broke up with her jackass boyfriend and she seemed interested in me from what Johnny and Kathlyn told her. We went to go see "Enchanted," very good movie mind you. But things weren't really good. She was too quiet during the entire get-together. That's fine, I knew she just broke up. I tried to break the silence by asking her what she's into and we seemed to share the same interests. Then, she blows up in my face telling me she has too much on her mind and practically storms off. That's fine, like I said I understood what she was going through. When I got back with Johnny and Kathlyn, they knew it didn't go well and apologized. I thought it was all me, actually. Then, the next day, Kathlyn calls Johnny and tells her that Melissa never wanted to go on this date in the first place. Yeah, I know you just broke up with an asshole, but if you didn't want to go on this thing, have the guts to say so instead of waste two hours of my life. That may seem cruel and heartless, but even Aaron and Kathlyn understand where I'm coming from to being a little steamed. What's even worse, I dreamt this was going to be a disaster. I don't normally dream of tarot cards, but before I woke up on that day, the fuckin' Tower Card flashes in my mind. For those who know tarot, the Tower is a BAD BAD BAD EVIL THING! It means chaos, downfall, disaster, etc. No matter what direction it's in.

Oh well, enough with the bad, now I'm onto the good. Tomorrow, Johnny and Kathlyn are getting married. I can't wait. I always knew Johnny was destined for greatness, and this is his time to change things around. If you wish to wish Johnny and Kathlyn a happy union, I'll be sure to pass it onto them.

Justice
Positive: Like the Chariot card, Justice represents a balance that is needed in order to achieve a fair and justified life. Justice elicits the need to balance wrong with right and night with day. Justice brings the understanding that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and that even though the night may seem to be never-ending, that day will eventually come. Justice also means that overindulging in the pleasures of life can indeed bring unwanted results. One can only indulge so much before they start to gain weight or become physically unhealthy. Justice also represents an analytical means to an end. Justice will weigh each side and come to a fair and just solution according to the laws or rules set forth. While we may base our findings almost solely on our feelings and emotions, Justice remains free of such emotional confines and will always bring a fair and reasonable outcome.

Negative: When reversed this card represents being over-emotional, irrational, or biased. It also represents using unfair means to get a desired outcome. An imbalanced lifestyle or a corrupt attitude.

07. For Todd [25 Feb 2008|09:20am]

Since I couldn't post my other posts in the past few months, I'm doing it now.

A poem from me to you, good friend:

"It was on this day the Sixth Street Game Crazy closed early
When news struck home, it began to snow
Your snow, to me, were your tears for us
And our tears for you
We wept for you as you were taken to the great beyond
The world wept for you because you touched our lives so
You wept for us knowing how our lives meant so much with you in them
Whatever reasons we wept for, there's one thing for sure
We will never forget 2/25/07..."

Take a swig of Mr. Pibb, raise right hand up with fingers almost in talon shape, then unleash the signature Todd call. Those who knew him, you know. If you did, I want you to do just that, right now.

R.I.P. Todd
You will never be forgotten by your true friends

The Chariot
Positive: The Chariot card represents the need to take control of ones actions to rise above the conflicts in ones life. The Chariot alerts us of the need to draw energy not only from our material resources but from within as well. The Chariot reminds us that we must have balanced energy in order to reap the rewards of all that life has given us. The Chariot represents a dualistic nature and that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Focus and awareness is necessary in order to make the most out of the situation. Most importantly, the Chariot represents the need to hold on tightly to the reigns because should we let go we will face the likelihood of going way off course. Ultimately, if we don’t hold tight and steer our way through, our life can get way out of control.

Negative: When reversed this card represents a lack of drive and focus or letting others manipulate us to their own ends. It can also mean arrogance or foolhardy behavior. A lack of control and imbalanced thought.

The Lovers

Positive: The Lovers card represents having to make a choice in the realm of relationships, a choice which will have a lasting impact on the relationship at hand. This may come as a proposal of marriage or simply the choice to continue or dissolve a relationship. The Lovers brings a reminder that should one not take control of their choices, one will be forced upon them by the wheel of destiny. The Lovers also represents sacrifice and that which is given up when a decision is finally made. Should one choose marriage and commitment, the freedom and playfulness of a single lifestyle is to be given up. Should one remain a bachelor then the security of a married lifestyle may have to be let go. Overall, what the Lovers card represents is that a choice is at hand and one that must be made with much care and consideration for there are always sacrifices to every decision.

Negative: When reversed this card represents thoughtlessness in handling ones relationships with others and a lack of care when making crucial decisions regarding loved ones. Being indecisive and leaving your freedom of choice up to chance.

00. Hello [26 Jan 2008|09:42am]
[ mood | cold ]
[ music | "Battle for Everyone's Souls" by Shoji Meguro ]

First entry ever! Yay! Anyway, onto business:

This post's Arcana:

00. The Fool
Positive:
The fool is usually the first card of the major arcana but some decks place it at the end. There has been much debate over the years as to where this card really belongs. The fool, whether at the beginning or at the end of the major arcana, represents the initiation into the circle of life. This is why the fool is usually numbered as zero. Understanding that life is a circle is very significant because it should help you to understand some of the basic truths of reincarnation. The fool represents a motivation; he is the innocent one who takes a leap of faith to gain wisdom and insight. The fool steps forth without regard to warning. He is free to make his own choices. The fool knows there will be consequences to his actions but he steps forth anyway. The fool reminds us to take heed to the signs of spirit around us and to be on guard. The fool is innocent before he steps forward but until he does the cycle of life cannot begin.

Negative:
Lack of motivation to start something new, succumbing to fear, turning away from learning. Being heavily depressed or restricted. Lack of freedom or choices, imprisonment.
